Bill O’Reilly, the Anchor of Fox News Channel’s “No Spin Zone” and the biggest money maker for Murdoch’s Fox News Channel has been embroiled in a sex scandal. Has anyone heard of this yet? What are the facts? And what does this mean for the career of Bill O’ Reilly?
From what I have heard so far, it certainly does not look good for O’Reilly at all. Apparently, the woman in question had tapes of numerous lewd and sexually explicit conversations that Bill O’Reilly had with her. Andrea Mackris reportedly tried to get $60 million dollars and since that money was not forthcoming, she has sued O'Reilly. O'Reilly has countersued as can be expected, and thus we are set to witness some really intense legal drama.
At this time, Andrea Mackris still works for the FNC.
What possesses men with money and power to act in these shameful ways knowing fully well that Sexual Harrassment Lawsuits fly around the US with relative ease and constancy as doth a seasonally mutating virulent strain of the influenza virus? I will post links as I see them. Please bear with me.
Is this the end for Bill O’Reilly? One thing isd for sure though: his upright, morally condescending manner has suffered a huge blow, and he may never be the same again!

Somehow I knew O'reilly would finally be undone by sex. I believe he started off featuring in some sex related show called hard copy.

That's what happens to hardliners. They pretend too much and when the whole thing blows out, bam bam, they become liberals overnight or fade away. Bill is innocent until proven guilty, besides the tape does not prove a damn thing. If the girl is actually disturbed by his advances, if any or feels that the environment was hostile as a result of Bill and she could no longer perform her duties because of the hostility. Why did she return back to work under him after she had left to work for CNN. There is no foundation for her law suit. This is about humiliation not justice.

Personally though, I think the Bush dirty tricks campaign is at it again. They probably watched the 60 minutes interview where O'reilly stated he might actually vote for Kerry and that made the radcons (apologies to Robt Reich, former Clinton labor secretary) squirm from the possibility of O'reilly using his massive influence with the right to turn their conservative constituency into swing voters for Kerry.
Hence the deployment of this preemptive neutralizing attack to discredit O'reilly, at least till elections are over.

After all the bluff and bluster, Bill O'Reilly has settled the sexual harassment suit for an undisclosed number of millions of dollars, probably more than four million. O'reilly's accuser earlier turned turned down an offer by O'Reilly and his legal team to settle for four million. She also refused to tell O'Reilly the full content of the tapes she made of O'Reilly.

Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thanks for watching us tonight. Before we get to the "Talking Points Memo," I have something very important to tell you. All litigation has ceased in that case that has made me the object of media scorn from coast to coast. Today, lawyers issued a statement saying there was no wrongdoing in the case whatsoever by anyone. Obviously the words "no wrongdoing" are the key.
On a personal note, this matter has caused enormous pain, but I had to protect my family and I did. Some of the media hammered me relentlessly because, as you know, I'm a huge target, as is FOX News. All can I say to you is please, do not believe everything you hear and read.
The good news is that "Factor" viewers and listeners seemed to have given me the benefit of any doubt when some in the media did not. You guys looked out for me and I will never forget it. This brutal ordeal is now officially over and I will never speak of it again.
God bless America! Where else can you become a millionaire overnight just for having phone sex. Amanda where are you?

Newpaper report has the seattlement amount as high as 10 million dollars. If Bill is not guilty he will never in a million years seattle for such a hight amount of money.

O' reilly just needs to understand he was zapped and rendered impotent by his own hard right people.
He should get maddd and calmly do a number on them since he's still got a few more days left. He may begin by working on sending all Reagan democrats to Kerry, and follow by sending all McCain Republicans also to Kerry.
Otherwise his RADCON buddies would have achieved a win-win, at his expense. ie make his judgements and morality questionable, while helping their female agent and her lawyer earn a quick buck or two.
I heard six million.
