What a strange and obscure irony of life. The one who, out of selfish, egoistic and financial reasons, dribbled hundreds of thousands of his own people into a completely unnecessary and untimely death is left alive to "celebrate" his birthday.

Actually noone blames ochukkwu. This is part of sinful human nature. When the romanian dictator Ceausescu was executed together with his wife, he still did not believe that he had done something wrong. He died thinking he was right. After causing the death of thousands of his own people.

Happy Birthday? F... you!

How are you sure you will not kick the bucket before the great one. People like you who disrespect elders always die young.

To Ojukwu,

A worthy Igbo son a natural born leader, chosen by fate
To the Igbo son who stood his ground against despicable knaves
Against petty thievery and petty corruption
Against usurpation of rightful power
Against habitual African mediocrity

To the only modern African leader next to Mandela who would have it the right way or no way at all
Who at a young age defied the colonial masters efforts to foist nincompoops to do their bidding

To Dim Ojukwu, Dikedioramma Nd’Igbo, EzeIgbo gburu-gburu
The man who has always maintained his Igbo carriage and dignity
and prompted all Igbo to do the same

Happy 71st birthday to you and may you have more wonderful ones to come.
May those who wish you well enjoy wellness, and
May those who wish you ill keep running from their shadows.

The blinds paying homage to the one-eyed king!

Truly it is an irony that the warlord who sent many to their early graves because of his inordinate ambition is living to celebrate a birthday. It is double jeopardy that the same shameless warlord was able to use his NPN connection to recover his palatial properties and live extravagantly, while the people he manipulated, used and dumped, remained homeless and penniless.

Ojukwu is no hero; he is a terrorist of the highest order.

...a terrorist who terrorised his own people.

The muslim jihadists and al-quaida gangsters terrorise their enemies. Not so with primitive afro-bia-france. The criminals in the government of the defunct biafran shame had no qualms to watch over one million of their own people die terrible deaths of starvation, mutilation and sickness while they, the criminal biafran leaders, shut themselves up in their heavily guarded palaces eating eba and washing it down with palm wine. God punish them!
...and then, when the fire was too hot for even the biafran leaders, they entered into their private planes and fled to Ivory Coast and left the igbo-people at the mercy of blood thirsty mallams.

Ikemba Kaa wo!

General of the people's army!

I gadi Oooo!, Birikwa Oooo!

More than three decades ago you told the listening world that the OAU was the organisation of Arab Unity. Today as we watch the genocide being visited on the hapless citizens of Darfur by Arabs and the promise for an "African solution" by the Arab Union we can not only appreciate your uncanny sense of perception, but we hail your refusal to succumb to the intimidation of cowards. You are light years ahead of your peers:

quote:
Given our traumatic experience, I suggest that the following question is pertinent: should the constitution allow for the ultimate change of secession? In the past, this issue has been treated as a taboo topic but the absence of thought and debate on the matter is a poor substitute for judgement. Obasanjo has helpfully opened discussion on it in his book This Animal Called Man, wherein he stated that any future constitution of Nigeria must provide for a right of secession. This is but a recognition of the reality that, short of brute force, the only way that different nationalities can be kept together in the long term is by their will to stay together. by Anthony Enahoro A Guest Lecture at Yoruba Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos, July 2, 2002

I advice you look for a mental hospital and check your self in. You are a sick man. The sooner you see a phychiatrist the better for you.
I hope you get help soon.

Happy Birthday to the Great Ikemba!

It is incorrect to state that the Ikemba Nnewi, General C. Odumegwu-Ojukwu, leader of Biafra, and Dikedioranma of Igboland "impacted the lives of millions of" his "countrymen in different ways." General Ojukwu impacted the lives of BiafraNigerians in the specific and related ways of justice, equity, and opposition to genocide and man's inhumanity to man. Unfortunately, some non-Biafrans were too ignorant in those days to understand what Ojukwu stood for. Others yet were victims of opportunists, such as Awolowo.

I hear you loud and clear. Who said quite diplomacy doesn't pay.

Ojukwu was all most Igbos who aspire to be like him weren't, aren't and may never be. For example, he was never one to join a crowd, no matter how noisy they were/are. He was a good communicator but same time a good listener. Most of all, he was FAIR and outspoken for the rights of others irrespective of race, togue or place of origin. For as he fought for Igbo causes with the vehemence he could muster, so also he understood the pains of other Nigerians and their enligible right to achieve and enjoy the things he wanted for his beloved Igbo people - justice.

May not only Igbo but the entire black race be blessed with more Ojukwus.
Many more returns to Dim Ojukwu!!

Kpom kwem!(Spot on!). That was the crux of my post here. It takes the intelligent BiafraNigerian leaders about 30 years to discover a simple Biafran logic. I guess Bababoys will require about 40. So in the next 40years, he'll probably be talking of ojukwu as the best African of this century.

The Eastern delegation proposed that there should be a central
authority for the present Region but that all legislation by the
central authority should be subject to ratification by the Regional
Governments before they become effective; that the central authority
should have an executive, the chairmanship of which should rotate
annually from Region to Region; that the chairman, during his term of
office, should be the Head of State; that members of the executive
should be paid by their Regions and subject to recall by them; that
each Region should keep its revenue and finance the central authority
by equal contributions; that each Region should have its own Army,
Air Force, Navy and Police; that the assets and liabilities of the
federation should be shared out among the Regions; that each Region
should issue its own currency notes and coins; and that each Region should be free to secede from the association. --Lt. Col. David Ejoor's Address to Midwest Leaders 1966

In contrast to these proposals it was, and continues to be, the
position of the Midwest delegation that the causes of failure of

addy's congratulatory massage to Ikemba is flawed and as such is not acceptable, keep your quiet diplomacy to yourself. No yorobaman will ever be permited to play banjo on NdiIgbo agian.
