Nwa Aro, calm down!

People should be free to participate in any discussion of their choice. What is the use calling it BiafraNigeriaWorld if you can simply tell all the Igbos to ignore Bolaji Aluko simply because you think it is the thing to do or because he is not Igbo?

Listen! Members of this forum are not shy to quarrel with people when they need to do so. So, I don't see why you feel the need to orchestrate an "ignore Aluko" campaign. It is also interesting that you could not restrain yourself from making a post in the same thread that you are imploring others to ignore.

Apple Juice:

You hit the nail on the head.

Quote:

"We have to change the structure of the country as a whole instead of asking individuals to bear all the burden".

Some people think they can eat their cake and have it. They stupidly join in to compete in a system that is fraught with deceit and fraud. A system that promotes corruption, ineptude and mediocre. When they fail or are outmanouvered, they cry blue murder. i.e, Buhari, Ojukwu etc.etc.

We all must fight to change the system.

First of all by starting within our immediate sphere of influence.

How do you react when opportunity to say no to bribe presents itself?

What have you done to intimate your friends and relations on the need to rebuff money for hand vote for ground?

Just like i told Godson Offoaro not to join in contesting the charade going on in Abuja, rather to keep writing and fighting to change the system. PDP showed him what stuff they are made of. Today, he writes volume 1,2,3 and who knows how many more crying over spilled milk.

Regardless of who gets into power the way Nija is now, they will fail! unless ofcos we all keep writing and fighting to change the system(Structure).

The only man (Gani) who has vowed to do just that is sidelined and the political propaganda machine has been unleashed, using old tricks; ethnic, religious and trumped up psychological gimicks to confuse the issue of accountability from past leaders.

I could not help laughing about your remark about Godson! I saw him last week, and we had a hearty laugh about his experience.

Anyway, the need to first change the system is why I wrote the piece below. We need to work on the system first before most good people can join in!

SUNDAY MUSINGS: 17 Ways of Stopping Financial Corruption in Nigeria – A Summary

By

Mobolaji Aluko, PhD

alukome@comcast.net

Burtonsville, MD, USA

Sunday, December 05, 2004

__________________________________________________

As a general move, we should:

- Pass the Freedom of Information Bill;
- Pass the Whistle-Blower’s Bill;
- Strengthen all the laws that were used to establish the ICPC and the EFCC so that they are not weakened by the courts.

For elected public officials, we should:

- focus on the executives at the National, State and Local Government levels;
- enable public access to their declared assets, sanctioning any officials that don’t declare their assets and/or truthfully;
- require independent, professional and regular audits of all LG, state and federal accounts, and make available to the public;
- abrogate or seriously amend Section 308 immunity clause that benefit the President, the Vice-President, the 36 governors and 36 deputy-governors. If amended, Section 308 should allow the

(i) the Police, the ICPC and the EFCC to pursue CRIMINAL charges the executive officials;

(ii) the Senate to investigate civil charges against the President, after a grand jury of three Appeals Court judges has determined that there is a prima facie case against them that is urgent; and

(iii) State Houses of Assembly to investigate civil charges against the governors and their deputies; after a grand jury of three High Court judges has determined that there is a prima facie case against them that is urgent;

For unelected public officials, we should:

- speedily prosecute all persons not protected by Section 308 who aids and abets those immunized officials in financial and other types of corruption;
- focus on ridding the Police Force and Judicial Bench of corruption; these two arms are the most public faces of exercising justice in the land;
observe zero-tolerance for bribery by the NPF on our highways, including use of sting operations;
- observe zero-tolerance for bribery by judges, mandatorily disbarring any found to have taken bribes.

For private sector officials, we should:

- focus on ridding the banks and other financial houses of corrupt practices;
- observe zero-tolerance for money-laundering: sanctions could for example DOUBLE the amounts laundered, including closing banks down for egregious violations;
- observe zero-tolerance for foreign-exchange round-tripping; fines should double the amount round-tripped.

For the citizenry at large, we should:

- focus on eliminating the 4-1-9 advanced fee fraud crime, making it a “special economic crime against the state”;
- use a central registry of phones and faxes supplied on the 4-1-9 letters to SHUT down the phone numbers IMMEDIATELY;
- use sting operations to arrest and SUMMARILY jail caught miscreants.

Until we strenuously tackle at least each of these seventeen steps comprehensively, the fight against financial corruption in Nigeria cannot be deemed to be serious.

Dear Forunmites:

Hey, what is happening here?

http://www.********************1.com/Articles/mobolaji_aluko/2000/02/on-nigerian-criminality-and-public.html

What are all these ******* doing in place of VillageSquare? IN my previous article, I had to put a space between village and square to get around the ****** !

Is the Village Square censored on BNW - just as Gamji.com was censored on Nigeriaworld by Chuck Odili?

Say it ain't so, Biafra? I thought that BNW was different from egbeomododuwa.com ?

I ain't going to stay beyond this week if this censorship is not removed ! I won't fight it on Nigeriaworld and then come to BNW and fight it all over again.

Hope it was a mistake!

True talk.

But before all this, we must discuss the structure of the Country, Who wants to be part of the union and what compromise they must need make!

Our structure is like the foundation of a house. If the foundation is not solid, no matter the type of roof, paint, furniture, window etc etc, is used to beautify the house; it will never stand.

NBA, NLC, NUPENG, NUTAF, NUT, local community associations etc etc and a strong and serious minded leader, must as a matter of urgency participate in an SNC. All politicians sidelined with the exception of past leaders who will give account of their past stewardship and what loan they obtain on nija behalf and what they did with such!

Our people deserve better!

You are the worst hypocrite. I was actually surprised that BNW allowed you to post the link to your website at this BNW site. You are the webmaster of your own website where you clearly censored BNW.

I uploaded your own list of Nigerian websites to my blog.
quote:
quote:
 -

So, are you some kind of free-loader? You have a commercial website which you are freely promoting at BNW. You even sell advertising at your site. But, you don't even have the decency to provide a link to BNW at your website even though you have listed even the most obscure sites from your Yoruba ethnic group and Nigeria. The same goes for the site that you are attempting to display at BNW.

The webmaster of BNW should block your site from showing at BNW just as you are censoring BNW at your website.

addy:

You have finally put on your full Yoruba ethnic support suit.

Amebo Aluko:

You are a funny character. So, that's how you tricked your Yoruba tribesmen all those years. I commend you for sneaking in to add BNW to your list of sites. It takes courage to admit that you were wrong to practice such censorship.

But, that does not explain why the site whose link you are attempting to post here is censoring BNW. Or, does it? Are you also the webmaster of that site?

One more thing. Ever heard of something called "Alphabetical Order?"

As a genuine member of the Igbo tribe, I refuse to take part in this your ridiculous juju secret-society which you call Biafran Actualization. This refusal is what is annoying fanatical biafranists like yourself.

Why do you always display your typical immature way of reacting to another person's opinion in nearly every thread? If Aluko believes that "Biafra was taken from the portuguese city of Mafra", then it's up to you, as a biafranist, to either prove him wrong or to keep your mouth in the permanent position of shut up.

No, you shut the hell up, fool! If you and your alikirija friend are so matured you wouldn’t continue to beat that Biafran drum on a thread that has no relationship to my beloved nation. Wasn't this thread about some else (a welcome), so how did it end up Mafra and whatever, ass hole? See, how easy it is to make a fool out of you conflicted and confused soul? IINO! You wish you are of my flock, Igbo but let me rub it further in by again telling you that you are not even sure whence you cometh.

Well, what can I say, addy is someone I consider as a friend but he springs a surprise every couple of days. Let's remain VIGILANT to the kinds of this knight of darkness who wishes to be Igbo.

Ette Ekpo from 'Zoo, Michigan:

What do you mean "sneaked in" to do something on my website ? You think I know HTML, abi na wetin ? Abi did you not delete the reference that was there originally ? Or did you look ALL over my website and not see BiafraNigeriaworld anywhere before you started running here, glasses lost and mouth agape ? Is that how you look for things - look in one room, and then when you can find your shoes, you shout to the world that someone stole them ?

Abeg, what kind of "obubo" is that?

Anyway, I am happy that you have now found BiafraNigeriaworld on my site, and we can go on to the more important discussion of finding out why ********************1.com is censored on BNW.

I am a patient bird - like a vulture - waiting for Biafra to explain.

I guess to you guys this is divine blessings to tell someone to shut up whence a simple remain quiet would have sufficed. Leave Bababoyz out of this, aiight? My promise to my good friend addy and Honorable Anaedo remains. Whatever opinion Bababoyz holds of me, I did extend a helping hand towards him because it's not a life and death situation. My trade as a TRAVELING MAN allows me to do that. As an EAVESDROPPER, yea, that’s what we call your types in Modern Free. Well, if hitting you below the belt means I'm ghetto, let me be, city boy. Why don’t you attempt an answer how the thread went from a great and cheerful welcome to Mafra?

Amebo Bolaji Aluko is a crook. Now I understand why even his own tribesmen do not trust him.

Aluko:

You are insane. I did a screen dump of your site, a fail-proof exercise. A few minutes later you went and edited your site to add BiafraNigeriaWorld.

Anyone with any brain could see the before and after pictures. Here is the after picture:
quote:

Aluko is shameless.

His website clearly states that the webmasters are Moyo Aluko and Bolaji Aluko. Aluko says he does not know HTML. What kind of idiot calls himself a webmaster if he does not know HTML? A Yoruba one, I guess.

The con is what gets me riled up and we're expected to buckle simply because one appends a bogus crap to his name? There must be some good reasons why these irritants don’t write about aremu’s corrupt dictatorial junta, maybe Yoruba solidarity? But come 2007, we’ll not hear enough of their animal rage.

Ekpo,
that's not "fool-proof", because anyone who knows how to use a graphic-processing software program like AdobePhotoshop, CorelDraw, PaintShop (or others) can manipulate pictures. The screen shot you took was taken as a picture file, which you then could have manipulated by deleting the BiafraNigeriaWorld link. Mark my words: I wrote COULD HAVE.

Your screenshot is no evidence whatsoever!
If you want some evidence, go to the search-engine robots, and check the cache for www.nigerianmuse.com. That would be evidence, not your screenshot.

This is hardly the case I do not need anyone to teach me zip. I give respect when it is deserved not to garner or be Politically Correct. You can say I was someone who religiously read your posts on Kwenu until you couldn’t contain your Igbo hate of course. It gives me no joy I must say to succumb as low as our chat of recent to use reckless and uncut language but who is watching, you did say. The importation of rude remarks can hardly be attributed to my HUMBLE self. LOL. Let me see how long I could go before some Ajegunle or Moroko chap misbehaves again. BTW: I do see so light mood in some of your posts not all are offensive though. Yes I too laugh to myself sometimes after I read your njakiri – yabis and it’s all good. During my Lagos highlife days, my man Fella (May his soul forever rest in PEACE) used to have “Yabis Nite” at his Kalakuta Republic.

ekpo,
two issues here:

1) Just because it is written somewhere that Mr So-and-so is the webmaster of a certain website, doesn't automatically mean that that person is actually the real webmaster of that site.
2) To administer a website, you do not need knowledge in HTML, Java, Perl, PHP, CSS or any other language. There are powerful website-administration software programs with which you can administer a website (e.g. MacromediaDreamweaverMX, AdobeGoLive, and my all-time-favourite WEB-2-DATE, and many others) without having ANY knowledge of the above mentioned languages.

Dude, get yourself some common sense and basic education.
