Silence is indeed golden. When Mobolaji Aluko wandered in here 8-days ago, I decided to wait and see if he had finally learned that simply copying and pasting junk data was no way to convince anyone of anything. I decided it was time to be silent and wait patiently. From that vantage position, I observed
1) Aluko fail woefully to explain the humiliation he suffered in 2000 at the hands of Seun over Aluko's use of fake names and handles
2) Reminders of Mobolaji Aluko's abject inability to use stastical data as Aluko was painfully humiliated by Chiboy and Patrick over the statistical analysis of JAMB application and high school graduation data, and
3) OU completely demolish Aluko over the latter's claim that neither Ojukwu nor Awo had ever indicated that General Ojukwu indeed released Awo from prison in Calabar.
The sad part of it all, is that Aluko is one of the ones that some people from his part of BiafraNigeria are proudest of.
We do not belong in the same country with those babboons. PERIOD!

I pity Aluko. In just eight days, he posted what many post in one whole year. With a very few exceptions, he was squabling with people in very foul language in those posts. And a good number of the topics he started was all in praise of himself or to attract attention. I genuinely worry that the combination of hyperactivity (call it prolific, if you wish), irritability, grandiosity and obvious insomnia required to achieve all this need looking into it.

Good riddiance to bad rubbish, Aluko has once again left BNW a lesser man than when he came. The man truly knows no shame, one can't help but wonder how those close to him live with the embarassment he brings to them.

From the excuse you gave as reason for your sudden departure from BNW, makes you look little. No wonder, I have read very many derogatory articles about you. You have really disgraced yourself.

In light of recent thread closures here at BNW, it would seem that this thread should be the omnibus thread for residual issues left from the closed threads. So, I am making this entry here.
----- The year 2007 will soon be here. So, now is a good time for every Igbo person with political ambition to revisit his/her closet for skeletons. Otherwise, we shall do it for them the way we did for Ike Omar Sanda Nwachukwu and his 2003 BiafraNigerian president of Igbo extraction campaign, even though Omar Sanda's was not just a closet; it was his entire house.
CSE and Nkem:
If this forum could welcome Bolaji Aluko back, I see no reason that Rudolf Okonkwo, Amanda Wekson, or anyone else for that matter should be turned away. After all, BNW stands for Biafra Nigeria World. The rules are few, but they should be enforced. If anyone wishes to return, all the person has to do is make the request the way we do it here, by registering. There is no need to send out feelers. I think the record is now well established that those who come here looking for trouble will find it, and more.
What you may not know is that at its formation, Rudolf was the only Igbo person who was actually requested to give serious consideration to supporting BNW in a non-financial way. Unfortunately, Rudolf's loyalty to Chuck Odili was so strong back then that he (Rudolf) did not just neglect the request, he took affirmative steps in the forlorn hope that he could destroy BNW. It was the worst case of enmity by inheritance that I had ever seen; Rudolf inherited it from his dogfather, Chuck Odili. In later months, Rudolf and a semi-Idemili posse launched an abortive attack at this site and at anyone thought to be associated with it. Members of this forum were at the receiving end of unprovoked hate mail perpetrated by the Rudolf Okonkwo Idemili posse.
First of all, there is no proof whatsoever that Rudolf is not active on this board with one of his many handles. The last time I checked, only four of Rudolf's handles (two real names, and two handles) were banned at BNW, including the "Isioma" handle. Therefore, and without prejudice, any genuine and useful benefit that could flow from his membership of BNW Forums should already be here.
Second, the disagreements many people here have with Rudolf Okonkwo have less to do with any ideology or philosophy that may be attributable to Rudolf. Most members of this forum did not have the benefit of reviewing the debates over the Bola Tinubu Chicago University 419 at egbeomooduduwa.com. But, then again, many here did not have the benefit of reviewing your own uniquely incisive presentations at egbeomooduduwa.com either. Perhaps, because of Rudolf’s personal needs, his appearances here have been dogged by the same intellectually debilitating hero-complex that is the undoing of all publicity hounds.
Even within the limited context of Igbo politics, if Rudolf has anything such as an ideology, he has neither developed it nor articulated it. If he has, I am not aware of where or how he did either. Certainly, he has not developed it well enough for it to form the basis of meaningful disagreement of an intellectual sort.
So, what is the quarrel about?
There are some Igbo people who take great care to ensure that they don't step on Yoruba or Hausa-Fulani toes, especially where serious consequences could be expected for such infraction. Those Igbo persons, including Rudolf (in my view), have spent years cultivating images of themselves of what you described as "liberal, moderate or even wet," and you can also add MILD and GENTLE. If all of their dealings were confined to their relations with the Yoruba, Hausa-Fulani, or even within the generalized BiafraNigerian contexts, you and I would have no reason to question the genuineness of such public image, or to doubt that Nd'Igbo too would benefit from the putative underlying human qualities projected in the façade.
But, as soon they encounter another Igbo man, those gentle-to-Yoruba-and-Hausa Igbo persons turn into filthy-reptiles-ready-to-snipe because years of indiscipline and confusion in Igbo society have taught them to expect no consequences for their offensive conduct. Until recently, under an apparent "Pax-Nigeriana" in Igboland, which in their warped understanding extends across Igbo society and to every Igbo individual, the culprits have managed to convince themselves that their Igbo-on-Igbo atrocities would never encounter severe consequences.
That is exactly where we have to situate the disagreements that members of this forum have with Rudolf. With a little expansion, that is also the context for the brazen criminality of Chris Ubah and Chris Ngige in Anambra.
The reason that people are reading about the quarrels with Rudolf is that there are today some of us who have decided to mete out punishment for that behavior, punishment far more devastating than anything the culprits could ever fear from stepping on the toes of their Yoruba, Hausa-Fulani, or Nigerian benefactors.

I think Aluko ran away because he feared that someone in these forums may have a copy of old debates from egbe, where Aluko argued that his brother (Gbenga) should be exempt from punishment and not step down from his committee position on account that Gbenga was the only PDP senator from the Southwest in 2000. There is nothing better than a jolt from such a reference for ending the psychosis of a mad man who pretends to support his outbursts with "archival data."
