Either Atiku is trying assert his independence so that he doesn't sink with the ape called Obasanjo, or he is signing his death warrant. Either way Obasanjo's evil is gonna catch up with him soon.
Since we all have right to our opinions, atleast we all agree that it is very healthy to discuss issues and may be fine a common solution to a common problem.
My views and perspective were formed by my upbringing and association. But no matter the season or time, i hold strongly to my views. Those views are prone to change even as i make new acquaintance here. Nevetheless, its not my intention to let my person becloud the larger issue.
Ukaobasi: i have read several of ur write ups here and i do agree with most, but disagree with some. For those i agree with i tell u and for those i disagree i also tell u. I could careless where u are from so long as i know your comments were in good faith.
U all are my brothers, and like i said in an earlier post, i have leanrnt a lot from coming here.
God bless us all

I commend you highly for this statement of wisdom by recognizing that the views you hold or held that fired your brothers up is not indelible. They are not written in stone. They are subject to change as you rightly stated and I(we) agree. Some pediatric psychologists advice parents to go on all fours in order to see the same things kids see when they're on damage patrol around the home. Sometimes it is necessary to pay close attention to find out where the wind blows. Nwa Afor, believe me, had the Igbo been responsible for the crap that's happening in that big-for-nothing country, this essayist here will be in the forefront of harshest denouncement of them but they are not hence our anger and pain when folks misattribute their negativism towards us. Have you wondered why your ‘friend’ bolaji aluko, the chief Igbophobe is never critical about the crook they call obasanjo’s misgovernance? Could same ethnicity with the thief (obj) be the cause? Which is by the way wrong. Bolaji used to have my respect based on his positive writings on Kwenu until my attention was drawn to his writings on Gamji and Lagosforum etc where he exposed the real him. Many times I read this dude I just shook my head in disbelief how such a superb writer’s priorities could be so misplaced with his innate hate towards a people that history has shown mean no harm towards his tribe. They say all is well that ends well, let’s hope that this will be the case with him too when his negative views towards my people changes and soon.

I tried to understand the name of one of these guys and the titles of some of the rest of these fellows; What kind of name is Igboke? Is that like “emi ke?” (in Yoruba means: a whole me???) Igbo ke???: I suppose an Hausa equivalent would be Hausake or Yorubake. At least that way Obasanjo and PDP cant be accused of failing to maintain “National character”
John Igboke; He is National Youth leader. Of what? I hope he’s not one of those rented 60 something year old “youths” working for PDP?
Deacon Afolabi is ex-Officio member of what? What does his deaconhood have to do with anything? How did Ogbeh’s alleged actions hurt them the most?
“Mr. James Abu and another ex-Officio Olisa Metu” ex-Officio of what? Specializing in just exactly what?
They advised Ogbeh to: “go home quietly to enjoy himself,” Stating further that: “after all, he is no longer as penniless as when he became the PDP chairman” .
Do you get the same wierd feeling that these scoundrels (cut throat paid extortionist hatchet-men) have gotten altogether too cocky?
Now when their current protector is gone, they will market themselves to another protector who will recycle and unleash them against others once more.
People like them would advise us to "lets build Nigeria together".

DUBIOUS NADECO OUTFLANKED BY DUBIOUS MURDEROUS OBASANJO
The review above clearly portrays the evil that the Abacha government represented in “Nigeria” and Africa, and the crude extents to which his govt and hatchet-men were willing to go to peddle influence in order to sway/threaten those seen by it to be antithetical to its interests.
We are also given a glimpse of the manner and extents to which NADECO with its many repugnant characters, was willing to go to peddle its own influences to sway events to its own favor.
While condemning the all too obvious evils that Abacha represented, it is just as important to realize not only the duplicitous nature of NADECO, and the people they associated themselves with as exposed by this detestable review which was clearly written by someone serving Abacha’s interests, it is equally important to question ones-self as to where all these NADECO people now are given that Obasanjo having hijacked their thunder through the elimination of Abiola has come to commit atrocious acts far exceeding what Abacha could have contrived to do.
The representatives of NADECO (Enahoro, Bolaji Akinyemi, and so on and so on) possessing no official grassroots power or military background are the ones speaking (from both sides of the mouth) out for SNC, yet many of their officials are on the vanguard to usher IBB straight back in. They had all along seen, heard, or spoken of no injustice meted out against Igbos, and many of its supporters will line up to regard what is happening to Igbos as mere collateral damage for which answer the self serving empty propagation of SNC will do (An understanding of Enahoros conception of the post SNC map of "Nigeria" and the geographical zone into which Igbos will be slotted into relative to that of his Bini/Ishan nationality is enough to displayk for itself his true and real intentions).
Obasanjo on the other hand (with his own equally specific designs) with his characteristic ability to coopt potentially troublesome issues by creating mere facades in pretence of acquiescence not only repeatedly has them as an appetizer, but is now even confident enough to dismiss them by manipulating the “constitution” for additional terms in office. Toward this end the events in Anambra unseen by many in its true intent and ramifications only begins to make sense.
GIVING OJUKWU A BAD NAME
The voices who would give Ojukwu a bad name are the ones who on the basis of Ojukwu’s participation in discussing “Constitutional conference” (a thing he has never shied away from doing starting from Aburi) during Abachas regime, wish us to believe that when coupled with personal acquaintance with Abacha and IBB, (former military coleagues), that that participation by Ojukwu necessarily translates to a support of Abacha’s policies and an enrichment of Ojukwu at the expense of Igbos.
BATTLE OF THE GRAND DECEPTORS: ABACHA EVIL VS NADECO EVIL JOIN ISSUES WITH OBASANJOS EVIL
Ojukwus recent comment celebrating Obasanjos acceptance in the first place that a "National conference" is called for, has again been interpreted by those still fighting their NADECO battles on NADECO's side to mean that Ojukwu is guilty of misleading Igbos. One is then forced to ask: Since when did the gladiators of NADECO represent Igbo interests?
At the end it appears that some people are still fighting an expired battle:
The gladiators of Abacha: those of whom are not in jail, have now found themselves in Obasanjo's govt, propagating their self enriching sellout view of "One Nigeria". Some of them had tilted to the Buhari camp in the 419 elections causing the ambivalence with which the remnant NADECO failed to see the impact of Obasanjos rigging as consequential.
The gladiators of NADECO: are still fighting their past anti-Northerners, (veiled) anti Igbo (fake pro-southerner) battles, unaware that their shame was all along transparent and now even more-so given their duplicitous silence at the injustice specifically directed against Igbos by this government
The gladiators of Obasanjo "Nascent Democracy": have dug into position propagating their "Igbo-land must be held down" form of "Southern majority"/"One Nigeria" coalition which the one party government of PDP is supposed to embody, and which both IBB and Atiku its expected inheritors so admire in its ability to have bundled and packaged Southern "Nigeria" especially Igboland ready for delivery without a whimper in 2007
These are the gladiators and choices which a groaning and cowed populace have been condemmned to as "Gods doing" in the belief we're all meant to build "Nigeria" together within these contexts as if they were divinely ordained.

Now that the Olagunsoye Oyinola Panel is guilty of contempt of a federal high court order,What next? Would Obasanjo still be allowed to bare his fangs on Anambra state based on an illegal report of a panel that willfully disobeyed the laws of the land?
I must say that iam impressed with Dr.Ezeife and many prominient Anambra people who have stood up to the defence of their home state. As Ezeife rightly said, let the tribunal decide who truely won in Anambra. Then we shall show good example on how to be law abiding.Unlike in Ogun where a competent court have nullified the elections.Yet,the governor there and the President have disregarded the ruling of the Federal Appeal court and are still sitting tight. True that APGA won the polls, but Obasanjo would not let the law to take its course. He would rather seek all illegal means of imposing treasury looters on Anambra because as far as he is concerned,Anambra and indeed Igbos must be tied down by all means imaginable. What prevents the appointment of Chris Uba or his cronies as the Sole administrator in Ogun state until a fresh credible election is held there ???

Is it your guess that the not so bright Queen of England is unaware of incidences such as in this thread? Read on!
Queen Elizabeth Salutes Obasanjo’s Courage ”Queen Elizabeth of England yesterday saluted the courage and determination of president Olusegun Obasanjo and his desire for peace in Nigeria, Africa and the world.”
This just goes to show that this Queen of England is as clueless as the grandmother in a village mami-market when it comes to current affairs and worldviews. What papers does she read, some pornographic bulls..t, you betcha. Or papers on how to continue to fleece the British people? With comments like hers, it is easier to see why the British are looked upon as very corrupt and why the hell on earth you call nigeria will never ever see the light. What is the background of this over pampered and over gloried broad anyway whose existence is sustained by the charity of the people? Does she need to be reminded that her family’s reliance on the welfare of the people of Britain is tiring them? They can’t carry the burden of feeding, housing, clothing etc of a bunch of no good unemployed nuisances anymore, they are shouting, Queen Latifa!! They want me to tell you, Queenkie. What are the contributions of this royal pain to the British society other than to loaf around the garden and screw all day and night? This woman should be told to shush her locozade drenched mouth and face the scandal her offspring bring upon the British people on a per second basis. Since it is no longer a secret what they do starting from her, her husband Philip who is a chronic womanizer and all their spoilt brats. They just lazy around to stick their slimy dicks into anything that opens while the ladies from A to Z open their perfume drenched in between the thighs stuff to hide the odor obviously for anything that stands if you read me. Honesty I do not expect a family that leeches on the British society to have any inkling of what it is to live in a despotic banana republic of nigeria or elsewhere. Imagine this; ”Queen Elizabeth of England yesterday saluted the courage and determination of president Olusegun Obasanjo and his desire for peace in Nigeria, Africa and the world.” His desire for “peace” in nigeria, what peace?? About time this Queen bee and her family are told to go get a real job or SHUT the hell UP woman!!
quote:Queen Elizabeth Salutes Obasanjo’s CourageThisday 11.15.2005 Queen Elizabeth of England yesterday saluted the courage and determination of president Olusegun Obasanjo and his desire for peace in Nigeria, Africa and the world. She made the commendation through her representative, Baroness Royall of Blaisdou after the president was conferred with the Peace Award at the Coventry cathedral in Britain. The Queen said Britain was proud of Obasanjo's achievements. ''Today we salute you as a man of peace, your influence is hugely significant in Africa and we all salute you as a man of peace and a man of fate,'' she said. She said that Obasanjo was worthy of the 2005 Coventry International Prize for Peace and Reconcilliation. She noted that British government would continue to support the president and his government. ''British government supports your government's reform programme and anti-corruption crusade,'' she said. She strongly welcome relations between Nigeria, the UK and the NEPAD programme. The Queen described Obasanjo as ''a truely distinguished statesman that will continue to enjoy the support required to succeed from the international community.'' She applauded Nigeria's peace keeping roles in Africa and the president's consistent efforts at securing home grown solutions to African problems, an idea that had paid off. A special service to honour the president's late wife, Mrs Stella Obasanjo and the117 victims, of the Bellview air crash, was conducted by Archbishop of Kaduna province, most reverend Josiah Idowu- Fearon. He prayed for the lives of the deseased and the strengthening of the president. He said that the service in Coventry, demonstrated the huge support that the president enjoyed among Muslims and christians. He added that as a righteous son of God, Obasanjo would be protected
NEVER!!

Men of vision always see things before it occurs as this quote indicates.
quote:As Ukaobasi prophetically indicated in another thread, Audu Ogbeh will soon become Obasanjo's next target. – Ikemba
I remember when audu ogbeh the master double talker used to warn folks who do not share the tyrant’s knack for gas increases that they should mind how they address the “Commander-in-Chief” as he has been very tolerable and kind. That they should realize that as a retired General he’s doing them, the civil society a favor as he could demolish anything that stands in his way or something like that. Does anyone here remember this commentary by ogbeh which he made during the time the NLC – nigerian Labor Congress was garnering the people for protest against the massive and unrelenting fuel increases? These are the types that want to be seen as statesmen, men without bones and principles. I hope they jail his ass soon!

And yes, someone did remember. You can imagine my excitement when the other day, I came across this on Gamji:
quote:Nigeria’s Solution; Not In The Ballot Box By Kola Ibrahim
While the so-called opposition will want to present themselves as alternative, their past could not help them. One could easily recall the action of the former PDP chairman, Audu Ogbe in 2004 when he called the bluff of NLC for resisting fuel price hike, reminding Adams Oshiomole that president Obasanjo is still a military man neither could Nigerians could easily forget the spree of retrenchment of….
