Does any one have any idea about the ethnic make-up of the Nigerian military? What ethnicities make up the majority of soldiers? Is this information secret from the general public? What percentage is Hausa or Fulani? what percentage is Yoruba? How many are Igbos? Is the Nigerian military an ethnic monopoly? Is it exclusively a Northern military or what? If you know anything, let us all in on it.

I hope this confab propose a formular enshrinable into the constitution to represent Nigeria`s ethnic makeup in the armed forces,police and federal civil service.
I agree. How can there be fairness if there is not an equitable percentage of the various nationalities represented in the policing power of the state. Lop-sided representation of one or two ethnic groups guarantees a lop-sided dispensing of justice. I would be willing to bet that this is what we have today especially in the military ranks. I think there should be quotas based on a new census monitored by outside sources. How else can all ethnicities be confident that their civil rights will be protected. However, I don't think the Hausas and the Fulanis would ever agree to this unless they could count their sheep and goats too. I wonder if we will see the same old thing again with the census fraud. If we do, that should convince everyone that there is no real democracy, or intent to have a real democracy in Nigeria.

Thanks for the link. Anyone who doesn't see the obvious centralization of power(brute force) in the hands of Muslim ethnicities is blind. Northern Nigeria is practicing neo-colonialism upon the South pure and simple. They install their own creatures there to serve the massah's interest. The question is what do we do about it? The North doesn't give a rat's a** what we think.
There is one good thing we can console ourselves with, that is, we could kick their butts in a fair fight. It was British and the Egyptian pilots that flew their air missions. If not for the superior fire power given to them by the British and Russians we would have beat the **** out of them. When we have finally overcome, let's not forget to give them their due.
