************************100 Reasons why Biafra will not be created!**************************
*************************************************************************************
Let's say it like it is: there is not going to be any creation of a sovereign independent state from any of the major ethnic tribes in Nigeria. As long as the mineral resources in Nigeria are flowing, Nigeria will remain exactly that: Nigeria. Now, Nigerians may hate Nigeria, dislike Nigeria, be disgusted at Nigeria, be ever ready to fight against Nigeria or even disown Nigeria by taking on new nationalities, yet Nigeria will remain.
All the numerous nigerian separatist movements from all major and minor nigerian tribes have remained fruitless. The only fruit that was harvested was death and war: the senseless death for too many separatist followers, as seen in the case of the illegal Massob organization, and the embarrassing genocidal war of 1967-1970 which the separatists lost ignominiously.

It is therefore high time to inform our readers about the "100 Reasons why Biafra will not be created!".

Feel free to add your own reasons until the list reaches 100. Allow me to start with the first four (4) reasons:

1) The european creators of Nigeria are against the concept of an independent sovereign Biafran nation.
  • Nigeria was created during the infamous 1884 Berlin Conference with the full intention of inciting one nigerian tribe against the other
  • Years before 1967 and in the months following the June 1966 counter-coup, Ojukwu and his pro-Biafran lobbyist were fully advised and cautioned by the european creators and protectors not to secede from Nigeria.
  • The United Nations were and still are against the splitting up of Nigeria.
2) The motivational force behind the planned creation of the sovereign state of Biafra was and still is based upon human greed, lust for power and insubordination.
  • human greed
The rebel leader Ojukwu declared secession from Nigeria AFTER the then UN-recognized government of Nigeria announced the creation of new states. The implication of such a move was obvious: the control of resources gathered from oil sales would no longer be in the hand of East Nigerians. Ojukwu did not secede because ibos were bestially butchered in their thousands. Ojukwu did not secede because ibos were persecuted and hunted all over Nigeria. The MAIN and MAJOR reason was Gowon's creation of new states, which gave Gowon direct control over all the natural resources found in East Nigeria.
  • lust for power
It is well known within European and African diplomatic circles, that Ojukwu was an ambitious power-hungry man, who loved to be announced at diplomatic parties and international conventions right from the 1950's.
  • insubordination
In military circles, the refusal of East Nigeria to submit to the newly created government of Nigeria, headed by "Jack" Gowon, is commonly referred to as insubordination.
3) The spirit of cowardice lives deep within any separatist soul.
  • The trademark of a coward is the fact that he runs away in the face of trouble, as seen in the hectic running away of the rebel government from Enugu to Aba, to Umuahi and to Owerri whenever the nigerian army advanced.
  • Ojukwu running away to Cote d'Ivoire in a frantic attempt to save his life is another clear indicator of cowardice.
  • Today, too many ibo-separatists shun public discussions, reject invitations to public televised political forums, and even here at BNW, they frequently make use of their cowardice button, calling it the "ignore-button".
4) Better the devil (=Nigeria) we know than the angel (=Biafra) we don't know

This is a very timely topic. It is time to change the paradigm in this forum from "Biafra must be" to "Biafra must NOT be." People like HeBiafran should be arrested and subjugated withing Nigeria. Not even in the name of this Biafra day-dream should his fellow Igbo people have to endure his crudity. Nigeria owes Igbo people that much.

(5) To protect Igbo people from the likes of HeBiafran

I think if you remove some of your hate words from many of your post, you will make a lot of sense. I do agree with one of your point about as long there is mineral resources flowing. The break of Nigeria will be difficult. However one thing you have failed to point out is that an average Igbo man who is not in the corridor of power doesn't give a darm about your socalled Mineral resources. I can safely and honestly tell you that your socalled mineral resources have not benefitted any average Igbo man or many of the Nigeria citizens for that matter. As long as Igbos are allowed to practice their Business and ingenuities, they could careless about your mineral resources. Today Nigeria economy is at a stand still, because Obasanjo's hatred of Igbo have ate him so deep, to point he is banning importantion everything in that country. He thought that he is going to kill Igbo Business men, today the wharf is empty, even the Nigeria customs who used to feed fat off Igbo Business men are crying. A bag of cement today cost N1,500. Two years ago the same bag of cement was costing N580. How do you think Alhaji Dangote get all the Money he donated to Obasanjo's library. Dangote is today soley responsible for cement in Nigeria. yet you come here to be infactuate with Biafra. Take off your hatred of Biafra, then you will start to see what many of us are seeing.

I can honestly tell you that, if you take away the millions of dollars Igbo citizens and other Nigerian citizens living abroad remit to their families back home each year. That place will be like a war zone. Qwasioko will be a cake walk. I can safely talk of my own state and Southeast, many Igbos living here in US are spending Thousands of dollars building houses in their villages and places like owerri, Aba, Enugu, Umuahia and Onitsha. many of our people have come to rely on this projects as means of their livelyhood. So my brother yes the few Igbo elites who may be benefitting from your socalled resources, might oppose breakup of Nigeria, however that may be the case with those elites. That is why we say have United Nation UN put it as a referendum, and let the Masses vote. Brother if you go that route you will be surprise that your scenarios will not hold water. I know because I practically live there, I am not just one of the people you accuse of seating in their keyboard to shout Biafra. I go there at least twice a year. I just came back from their and going again in a few months.

6. TO COMPETE BETTER IN THE GLOBAL MARKET, AFRICAN NATIONS SHOULD BE UNITING, NOT DIVIDING.

7) Lack of unity within the separatists has been and will continue to be their eternal failure.
  • The ibo people have never been united. Unity is a foreign word to ibos. Even before the advent of the white european travellers, the ibos consisted of various decentralized, politically unorganized villages and family clans, each highly suspicious of one another, occasionally fighting in each other in bloody tribal wars.
  • The British colonial rulers found it a little bit difficult to rule the scattered ibo clans, but in the end the superior british firepower won the day.
  • Today, in the 21st century, this disunity is very prevalent and undeniably visible in the land of the ibos, as the various ibos surrounding their various ibo political rich rulers continue fighting and killing each other for extremely primitive and ridiculously vain reasons (e.g. Anambra State 2004/2005).

8) The World Community is not ready to yet accommodate and support another undemocratic,
coup-d'état-prone, violent and embarrassingly ridiculous african nation.

  • undemocratic
The nigerian rebels of 1967-1970 never had the mandate of the East Nigerian people. At no given point in time did the nigerian rebels of 1967-1970 operate with the mandate of the people from the former East Nigeria Sector. The will of the people from the former East Nigeria was never determined via a democratically conducted opinion poll. Never in the history of Nigeria were the people living in today's South-South and South-East of Nigeria asked via an opinion poll, if they would like to be part of a new nation called Giraffra.
  • coup-d'état-prone
Every earthly undemocratic construction is bound to fall apart from within. In the case of the 1967-1970 nigerian rebel enclave, undebatable traces of coup-d'état's-in-the-making were seen in the murderous assassinations commanded and headed by nigerian rebel leader Ojukwu in September 1967, when key rebel leaders were shot to pieces by the nigerian rebels, after being paraded in front of an undemocratic make-do kangaroo rebel court. In full compliance with undemocratic behaviour patterns, the accused were denied lawyers.
  • violent
The law of violence rules all military led nations. In an undemocratic nation, where the military violently took power or used violent means to preserve power, the level of violence is frighteningly high - also within the citizens of the nation.
  • embarrassingly ridiculous african nation
The unholy events of 1967-1970 as they occurred in Nigeria can be likened to a man who primitively and unsuccessfully woos a certain woman. The woman doesn't like or love him, and tells him so. Not ready to let go of the woman, he goes to her, and forces her to come with him. The brothers and relatives of the woman come to her aid, and BEAT THE SH.T OUT OF THAT MAN. Now, picture the man being thrown out of the compound all beaten up, torn, wounded, bleeding, ugly and helplessly gasping for air. Doesn't he NOW look embarrassingly ridiculous? Has he NOW learnt his lesson?

I wish the Igbo would realise that its not really all about them. Yes, the Igbo have not benefitted from the resources. But nobody else has either!! Why should you be the ones to go form a new land? Because you are the wisest? Thats debatable. The strongest? I sincerely doubt that. The most intelligent? I feel we're all equally gifted.
As long as Igbo's can carry on their private business they don't care? Then why have the Igbos set up this website to complain and to incite war? After all, from the latest 419 news I saw on TV last night, theres still a lot of you practising your independent "business and ingenuities."

Oh, yeah...someone should explain that to me, too. Why are 70% of the fraudsters from the East? What cause do you have for frustration that the rest of the country doesn't have?
