I knew it. I see why Oliver Obi, Akubueze Cornelius, and their fellow gang member in China, Stan Odera are twitching like millipedes in ISDA kerosine. I remember when they formed a group and told us it was "Igbo Security and Defense Agency" (ISDA). I and my friendes even donated money to them through Cornelius Akubueze. When they could not account for the money, they started to insult everybody. Then the three stooges changed the name of the organization and said it was non-violent. They became Igbo Something and Development Agency.
Now, we read the report of an Igbo man kidnapped by Chinese police, and Odera jumped in to tell us that the report is not true. Little did we know that ISDA is a violent organization that may be selling arms to Yoruba people. I hope that MASSOB and the so-called non-violent BF in Washingtond DC are not involved in ISDA's gun-running operations.
A few days go, ISDA claimed that it disbursed second installment of funds to MASSOB. I read the report over and over again. Nowhere in the report does it say how much money was disbursed and to whom it was disbursed. People, ISDA has the color of 419, and this gun running allegation must be taken seriously because people like MASSOB say they are not violent. The last thing we need is for Uwazuruike and his MASSOB people to be killed and arrested for the crimes of these three stooges called ISDA.

You might be puzzled why his report is laced with one church, one pastor politics and religion kind of thing...in China...Where there is no religion! an Igbo man of his kind busied himself busting his brothers ass before the Chinese Police on matters bothering on religion and tribal politics....'Don't mind my language, I¡¯m trying to bring it down to basics'.
There are couple of evidences of whatsoever report you get here about Nigerian, Igbos and events in China of this nature...I'm a private eye and works for the progress of our people... On the Election Day. He cited 70% of church people and 1% attendance but on record, about 300 Nigerians and over were present to vote for a new president of the community, it is on camera and in pix...enough evidences!!!
Before that, circulars were passed round for vacant positions, Mr. Stanley Chira and his cohorts turn it down...and attaching religion to their indifference...

In that process, the interim executives of the Nigerian Community was dissolved on grounds of unaccountability and dormancy and Nigerians had to conduct a formal election but members of the interim who were still permitted to contest insisted that only valid Chinese visa holders are allowed to participate (by now, the name Nigeria was already in shits, here in China due to excessive lawlessness among Nigerians, so more than 80% of Nigerians couldn't get their visas renewed for one reasons or the other including office owners!...
This is what the privileged few Nigerians where Mr. Stanley Chira falls into 'probably' were using to 'frustrate their own brothers by collecting large sums of money from them in false promise of visa renewals since they claimed of connection to the Chinese 'shady' authorities without rendering any service...I did not say Mr. Stanley Chira was involved in this shady deal mind you...I said 'privileged few' and check the underlined word above ¡®probably¡¯ to avoid some law suits)
This is what prompted the majority of Nigerians here especially the churches to come together in one voice and said we are not leaving anyone behind, whether you hold a valid visa or not as long as you are a Nigerian, come and vote and participate...with one voice we can address this immigration problem....and all the Nigerians Churches gathered, had a meeting and invited all Nigerians...including the Mr. Stanley Chira's party led by one Pastor Precious Nwosu but they turned the invitation down...anyway on the day of the election Nigerians both legal and illegal aliens turned up in droves including observers and election was held and Mr. Oke Uchechukwu was elected and anointed President of the Nigeria Community China...August 2004
Immediately this was accomplished, they rose up and decided to unravel their own 'separate group' called Association of Nigerian Residents in China involving only those that has valid visas giving ¡®business as usual a boost¡¯...and vowed not to give recognition to anything Nigerian Community as it constitute illegal aliens and fake passport holders according to their statement...My brother, the lesson I learnt here made me to think twice on the 'dream called Biafra or Massob'...I don't mean to offend anyone's belief anyway...and if anybody feel offended...I AM SORRY.
They formed and constituted a very strong negative opposition, but the interesting thing was the newly constituted authority was making progress...the opposition was so strong that Nigerian embassy officials has to be invited to mediate this warring groups...All Brothers of Igbo Origin...the nature of the oppositions were like countering scheduled meetings of the other group and reporting their activities to the police as an illegal group with members without valid visas, fake passports and fomenting religious trouble in China...very terrible allegations and blackmail...through this process the Chinese Police were able to learn a lot of things about Nigerians...kind of selling cheap...

But because some kind of 'shady' business was going on between this 'opposition group' and the Chinese police/immigration it was not very easy for them to pounce at the Nigerian Community led by Mr. Oke Uchechukwu...(The 'shady deal' was charging fellow Nigerians very high fees to get your visas renewed from $1,000 USD and above while in the face value you cannot get your visas renewed unless you passed through any of these so called 'Old boys'...through this process many Nigerians were frustrated back home as you could rarely get the visa done even after paying large sums of money...
These were the first cases the office of Mr. Okey Uchechukwu started dealing with...Files of these cases are still pending in the office of the Nigerian Community Guangzhou while some have been sorted...Files of cases that involves most members of this ' negative opposition group are in custody of the (Evidence 1.)'Task Force Department, office of the Nigerian Community, Guangzhou, China. Mr. Hama left China when the new Nigerian Community authority were hot on their heels for series of crimes committed against most less privileged Nigerians and was caught in Japan on drug related offences...He's still there till now.... let us not allow rumor mongers and detractors influence how we think and how we deal with our brothers and sisters.
This guy SaintJerry(names sounds like fiction) has not been verified as been who he says he is. People use dubious names to tarnish the image of anothers.
I have been an ardent reader of Odera's writings in other internet medium and based on his writing and how he tackles issues, i am ready to vouch for him. Though i do not know him personally, from many of his writings i can say he is credible. Much more than all those that have tried to assasinate his characters.
Odera has been in fore front of saying the truth and in so doing have stepped on many toes. Jimmy Assiegbu is now on the fore front of tarnishing Odera's image, and for Jimmy, based on his numerous write ups, i know he is not credible. One Ogbu okuku Nwakibie in Houston has gone as far as making insinous accusations against odera, But Nwakibie is known as an inconsistent, myipic blabber who decieves himselves that he will run for onitsha senatorial zone and who foolishly canvasses for an igbo conference in Houston. This charlatan is one of those that have taken it upon themselves to malign odera.
Odera has on numerous times spoken the truth as it concerns ASA, WIC, and other igbo groups which leaders are sell out.
You see my people, that is why we all should watch what we write, and whose side we are on. When push comes to shove those of us that read and respond on the internet will know who is telling the truth.
For now Odera is vindicated and this unknown SaintJerry, with the kind of people who support him, have shown he is a detractor and an Igbo efulefu, just like Nwakibie and Jerry Assiegbu.

The scene of the drama is Guangzhou, South of China which tops as China's most commercial city and attracts a large number of Nigerian businessmen and visitors around the world on business trips. There has been series of blindfolded rivalry between the newly constituted authority of the Nigerian community China and its erstwhile leaders who were voted out on grounds of corrupt practices and embezzlement spearheaded by one Pastor Precious Nwosu;(self acclaimed President of banned Nigeria Business Council) and his cohorts who ganged up into an opposition group with an aim to frustrate the efforts of the new leadership of the Nigerian Community, China.
Couple of years before now, Nigerians has been in such a sordid situation here in China that the name Nigeria was like a stigma in the ear of every Chinese;declaring your identity as a Nigerian was like selling off in the enemy camp; Of every African foreigner here in China only Nigerians walk the streets of China in fear of harassment and humiliation, Nigerians dupe each other subjecting most especially the less privileged ones among them to security hazards, dupe citizens of their host country at will, betray each other to the point of framing fellow Nigerians up before the security operatives in China on deadly allegations and constituting all forms of nuisance and lawlessness in a foreign land where the watchword is Law and Order.
It was in the light of these anomalies that Mr. Oke Uchechukwu was elected by the Nigerian community here in Guangzhou to manage the affairs of Nigerians and check this excesses since this is where you have the largest number of Nigerians in China.
But unfortunately for the Nigerian community, some of the self acclaimed ¡°landlords in foreign lands¡± were thriving on the shame and ridicule the image of their dear country Nigeria was subjected to in China, duping their fellow country men, framing them up before the security bureau, conniving with some fraudulent security officials of their host country against their own people, a modern form of witchcrafty against humanity and patriotism in the name of business...This was the lot of Nigerians before Mr. Oke Uchechukwu came into the reins of leadership¡and the campaign was ¡®This must stop!
Mr. Oke Uchechukwu, the elected president of the Nigerian Community China has painstakingly been in the vanguard of sanitizing the muddled image of Nigeria and Nigerians here in China of which the office of Nigeria Embassy Beijing has given him an immense recognition capped by a formal reception of the wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs. Stella Obasanjo in Guangzhou on April 2005 during her recent visit to China.
Mr. Oke Uchechukwu, President of Nigeria Community, Guangzhou China was invited by the Guangzhou Security Bureau, China for a discussion, he went there with his 2 year old son only to be detained and the baby strapped off him.
The office of the Nigerian embassy Beijing has been alerted of this incident of which they have made efforts to have Mr. Oke Uchechukwu released unconditionally but without much progress as their plight is been complicated by some ¡°unpatriotic Nigerian¡± who constitute a negative opposition group to a just cause due to greed, envy and bloated ambition, which has also toppled as the basis of business transactions here in China among the Ibos who make up a large number of the ¡°negative groups.
Mr. Oke Uchechukwu has been in detention for over two weeks now for no crime other than spearheading the need for Nigerians to lead a decent life void of crime and lawlessness in China and stop portraying our great country in bad picture.
On close investigation it was discovered that Nigerians¡those who cherish the mockery on our image from the international community, those who are benefiting from the ¡®muddy image¡¯ of Nigeria and Nigerians here in China irrespective of all the humiliation and harassment meted out to their country men, the so called opposition groups boasting of connection here and there;even in China of all places!!! Has gone to the Guangzhou Security Bureau and frame him up in cheap calumny in one of the worst criminal allegations only a witch could think of¡that he, Mr. Okey Uchechukwu is the leader of a particular religious group in China known for causing insurrection in China;other than a community president.
Two capital offence in China a foreigner or even a Chinese must not dabble into is Religion and Politics;this was the context of the frame up.
To the shock of an average Nigerian here in China, one Mr. Ikay Chira (Odera) even went as far as writing a petition in favour of the Guangzhou Security Bureau against his own country man who he knew quite well meant well for his own good and safety here in China on the detention of Mr. Oke Uchechukwu;probably influencing the wrath of the Chinese Security Bureau against an innocent man;his own brother! For nothing other than greed and sheer envy;I will not hesitate to state here that; this is the lot of the Ibo man. and a picture of the anticipated Biafra. Betrayal and cheap blackmail!
I would not be surprised if the so called Mr. Ikay Odera who claimed to have been in China for 10 years hired the services of a semi-literate Chinese girl to do that for him because I doubt if he understand the weighty implication of such unpatriotism. Selling cheap in the highest degree of illiteracy and blackmail forgetting that China is a Police state and has no friend at heart.
Presently, the case of this young man, Mr. Oke Uchechukwu is so pathetic, as his wife just had a baby of couple of days old before he was detained.
This piece of information is meant to urge all responsible Nigerians to pressure the Nigeria Embassy, Beijing to expedite actions and see to the release of this young man.
Most of what Mr. Oke Uchechukwu was canvassing against was that;
1. Nigerians should desist from constituting nuisance by hanging about in the streets of China, drinking, fighting over pennies and smoking weeds at strategic odd joints in Guangzhou as refugees... as this amounts to gross indiscipline and lawlessness.
2. Nigerians should stop duping themselves and citizens of their host country and reporting each other in cheap blackmail to the security bureau, a practice which was already becoming a kind of business, conniving with some corrupt officials of the security bureau to arrest and frustrate anybody they consider a barrier to their quest of amassing more dollars¡even their own brothers!
3. Those who have defrauded other innocent less privileged Nigerians should account for their crimes etc¡of which one Pastor Precious Nwosu is a good example, hiding under the pretense of religion. (He was the first to raise dust over this constituted authority of Mr. Oke Uchechukwu, which has culminated into these multifarious cheap blackmail and calumny). A crime in which all the parties running against their own brother in this far country is indirectly or directly involved in and has decided to thrive on in this unpatriotic act without caution.
But since Nigeria cannot continue like this abroad and still be vying for a permanent seat in the Security Council of the United Nations I decided to bring this matter forward to the Nigerian public to join hands and fight this corrupt practices brazenly displayed by some privileged illiterates claiming of connections even in a Police State! I wonder when police began to keep friends not to mention Chinese police!
I believe most Nigerians still hold dear our great country in the highest esteem and will do anything patriotic to defend her abroad¡ this is what Mr. Oke Uchechukwu was doing and some uncivilized individuals are bent on frustrating this effort¡as this did not augur with their corrupt practices in the name of ¡°business¡±. Most of these young men sponsoring lawlessness priding over few thousands of dollar bill business in China are mere illiterate traders/businessmen and understand very little the civil implication and grave consequence of their actions in a foreign land and might not be held responsible when their uncivilized actions boomerang on all of us¡invariably there is only One Nigeria¡!
As a follow up to this incident one prominent Nigerian, Pastor Daniel Michael who has been in the fore front of this image rebirth and restoration of the pride of Nigerians here in China has been refused entry back to China in one of his visit to Hong Kong for no crime other than ¡®trying to bring Nigerians together to lead a decent life, who has taken it upon himself to see that Nigerians desist from portraying a bad image of what we are not¡living like animals in a place like China¡while those who perpetrates evil and crime among us pride of ¡®false supremacy¡¯ over their own country men in this far country! Coupled with this, there¡¯ve been renewed series of arrest of helpless Nigerians here and there in sharp contrast to the calm Nigerians have enjoyed within the few months the leadership of the newly constituted authority were in place before the truce was botched by the so called ¡®oppositions group.
Back home in Nigeria, the EFCC is sanitizing the country of people like Mr. Ikay Chira, Mr. Precious Nwosu and their cohorts¡people of corrupt minds, greed and bloated ambition¡who are spearheading these negative rivalries among their own people¡in a sensitive place like China.
To sum it all up, I plead the entire people of Nigerians in Diaspora to help add a voice to expedite action and see to the release of this my brother, my fellow Nigerian who meant well for his country and for his country people in China and if there is any encouragement we need from people in place of authority to defend patriotism and propagate the gospel of the new Nigeria¡This is just it!
The continual detention of Mr. Oke Uchechukwu by the Security Bureau, Beijing, China is telling on the image of our great country Nigeria both here in China and in the international community.

Do you have any hard facts to support what you are saying? Odera himself has admitted that he knows the person who was arrested, and Odera volunteered his own version of the events leading to the arrest.

By the way, the full name of the guy who wrote that report is Jerry Njoku. I am sure that you know that there are many Igbo people who use the first name "Jerry."

(1) Stan IK Chika, (Odera with no difference, as in efulefu Anambra) was behind our brother's problems.- Check out his first, second, third and 4th reactions. You be the judge.
(2) Did he contribute to Pastor Okey Uchechukw's present predicament? - Most likely judging from his incriminating responses.
(3) Did Odera try to hide his complicity in this case from Umu-Ibe the first time the story was published? - Yes
(4) Did Odera deny this allegation of his complicity in his first rebuttal of Jerry Njoku's publication? - No.
(5) Did Pastor Precious rebuttal to Jerry's account exonerate Odera from the allegation? - No. He is part of the Odera's faction and associated with the faction that is against Pastor Uche for not heeding his earlier advice. A neutral, verifyable voice is needed to exonerate Odera.
(B) Odera's Projected Diaspora Image: (1) As a habitual Critic of the Igbo leaderships and a known ITK, one wonders why he was not able to show leadership in his neck of the wood where he is their acclaimed Lord. If you cannot put your household in order, how can you put a Diaspora Group in Order?
(2) Odera joined the campaign for WIC inclusiveness, but in China he does not want the same to all Nigerians in an election that elected Pastor Uche as their recognized leader. The same Pastor he has boasted for getting what he deserves and of course, his admitted opposition.
(3) This is Odera that always like to dictate to ASA-USA and WIC how they should function, but in his neck of the wood, he could not practice the same advice. For fear of loosing the election, Odera did not want those he called illegal Nigerians to participate in elections as if their purported illegal status hinders them from making a choice of who will lead them. Besides, was there a constitution that bares these illegal Nigerians from participating in the said election? If Odera was that smart, he should have insisted on drafting a constitution to guide them, instead of playing a spolier.
(4) Did Odera not try to hide this sordid activities from Umu-Igbo after it has gone public? Did he not discard it as immaterial, when he knows that he is a major player? From his 24 Hr manning of the Internet, why did he not bring it to the Igbo forums until Jerry exposed it.
(C) The Appropriateness of playing Chinese Nigerian Spy (1) While I do not and will not encourage those Nigerians who violate their host country's laws, it is still my position that writing a fabricated Petition against a brother in a country such as China with the sole purpose of getting him deported is pure wickedness and should not be encouraged.This brother was a recognized leader of the Nigerian community, whose main goal was to clean up the bad image of Nigerians in that City, and also to unite all factions. Someone knew that his Visa has expired and turned him in and Odera seems to know the status of every Nigerian in China. This brother did not voluntarily go to the authorities to renew his Visa, the authority did not write this brother to come and renew his Visa, this brother was invited to meet with the authorities. Upon going there, he was arrested for what appears to have to do with his status. Somebody reported this Pastor to the Chinese authorities. Odera has being fingered and he is yet to clear himself. Instead, Odera and others are justifying the act.
(2) Would Odera have done same if Pastor Uche was his blood brother?
(3) Would he have done so if Pastor Uche hails from the same Town as him?
(4) Does he know the ramification of his actions? Having someone who managed to obtain Visa to a foreign country for survival be deported? I can guarantee you that if Pastor Uche is deported and it is proven that Odera is behind it, it could lead to a nasty war between them until one is eliminated either in China or in Nigeria. Nobody has monopoly to wickedness, if you doubt, ask Governor Nnamani and Chief Jim Nwobodo.
(5) To use your legitimate status against a brother in a foreign country is as bad.
Finally, I commend Mr. Jerry Njoku for bringing this report for Umu-Igbo to, at least, participate in freeing this brother, and to also find ways to address such callous disunity among our brethren in China. Jerry my brother, Igbo forum has more than 950 membership and out of this number, we have a group called notorious six, the Internet tigers who always stick together and defend their own without regard to being Right or Wrong. Those bunch attempting to discredit you are just that, and they are very vociferous, the loudest and most vulgar on the Internet but cowards in Action. They have ran the intelligent ones out of the net, and some who do not want their barrage of insults have stayed away from commenting on issues. From their write-ups, you can easily identify them, even the so-called educated ones . But I advice you not to be disappointed at us because these six individuals do not represent Umu-Igbo in U.S. or on the forum. Their attacks will not deter me from calling a spade a spade.
Nevertheless, there is a need to portray good image of Ndi Igbo worldwide as we complain of mistreatment by the Nigerian government, and as we seek for an IgboNation if the U.S. prediction is something to go bye. My brothers Any way we slice this, Mr Stan Chira Odera have committed an abominable act. Turning in a fellow Igbo just to prove that he can do it, or to look good before the authorities is unforgivable. The guy have always been inconsistent i have watched him defend the indefensible. We are talking about Igbo efulefus back home, when the worst efulefus like Odera are causing more damage than those Ghana must go baggers.

Odera has continously denied turning Okey over to the authority or writing the petition he has been accused of. I have no reason to doubt him, considering his other writing where he has attacked those involved in WIC and ASA for selling out. It is my belief that many want to get back at him and may be some one forged his name on the petition. This He said is actually what happened knowing that he is not against Okey, who was hosted by nija embassy and Mrs Stella OBJ when she visited China.
Like i said earlier, i do not know Odera personally, but from all his write ups, i know he did not do what he is accused of. Also, we see how efulefus like L=Jimmy Asiegbu and others who have sold out to Abuja, latched on this story to tarnish and demean Odera. And for that reason alone i know that they are out to get Odera. Just like they will any other person that tells them the naked truth.
It is too early to really know what happened, but for now, i would rather believe Odera than believe those that see OBJ and those in power as god send. It is all a matter of who is consistent and who speaks from both side of their mouth. From my experience, i know that detractors will do anything to tarnish the image of one that speaks the truth.

From what I have observed, Odera's criticism of WIC is not objective. We all know that Odera is an ardent supporter of that self-hating errand boy of the North and Igbo efulefu named Ugorji Ugorji who wants to be WIC chairman. Therfore, I would take Odera's criticism of WIC with a grain of salt.
Anyone can criticize WIC or ASA-USA. But, considering that Odera and co often use WIC as official cover for their own group, and Odera himself is a partisan in internal WIC political fights, Odera's criticism is like one finger criticizing another in the same leprous hand.
That explains why most people have no trouble believing the report by Jerry Njoku. It is consistent with we already know in spite of the partisan criticisms of WIC. Years of false self-righteousness have caught up with Odera and his shattered credibility.
I do not believe that Jimmy Asiegbu of ASA-USA is out to get Odera. After all, until recently, the two were working together on the Anambra crises.

You hit the nail on the head, Odera have always been a one Nigeria apologist, even though from time to time he make few noise to confuse people. Odera critizm of WIC is like Jerry Ghana or Fani Kayode critizing Obasanjo Government. You know they are doing it to promote their master. I am waiting for Ugorji and Odera I will make sure that they never succeed with their ambition on WIC. Odera and Ugorji are in the same camp, they are both sabo for the power that be in Nigeria and the Northern Oligarchy.

On a personal note, though i am not in a position to judge Mr. IK Chira, I however find lots of inconsistencies on his stand, his defence is total suspect because taking precedents of his writings which always portrays him as ardent Biafran, then i can say that what we're reading now about Odera is a surprise and demonstration of double standard.
Some time in 2003, after Obasanjo's charade, this guys from China advertised a congratulatory massage to Obasanjo which appeared in various Nigerian daily newspapers and circulated in the web with all signatories to that bearing Igbo names. In a similar move, my local union here decided to follow suit and send a similar massage that will be funded by the embassy, many of us were outraged with the selfish and greed motivated move as i was even demanded to insert my name to the massage. It then downed on me that the idea that we are all Igbo in the union and can manage events to our advantage was practically impossible as Abuja is working round the clock with it's embassies around the globe (especially where Igbo are in majority as the case of Chile) to see that the voice of Biafra is not raised. My final decision was to opt out of the union and bear the consequence that might include rejection of passport renewal and things like that.
