I have no idea why Mbadinuju returned to Anambra, the scene of his crime.

The police yesterday arraigned immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Chinwoke Mbadinuju, before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Jabi, Abuja over the September 1, 2002 assassination of the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Onitsha Branch, Mr Barnabas Igwe and her pregnant wife, Amaka. The arraignment brought to two the number of former executive office holders protected by constitutional immunity, that were charged to court over alleged crime while holding office. Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, was the first to be dragged before the court of law to face trial. Mbadinuju who looked sober and dejected in the dock was said to have conspired with some criminals, still at large, to
Soon, Chimaraoke Nnamani's crimes will catch up with him.

Great News. Next in line should be people like Chima Nnamani when is immunity runs out.

Granted that he has done a lot for Enugu State in recent years, but he was said to have started out as a boogieman.

TGIF. AUDI A6. GET YOURS.

According to statistics, criminals always return to the scene of their crime for stakeout. Gosh! I pray achike undenwa of Imo state does not escape justice or violent death whichever comes first; hope the latter is the case.

A Police Chief was sent to jail
A (Chief Diepreye)Governer was Charged with a crime
Now this, Mr. Mbadinuju, a former executive office holder charged, among other things, with masterminding the assassination of Mr. Igwe and his wife, Amaka. I say hang the man, if found guilty.

Nigeria is getting better and better-This is good, i mean, this is very good. It's working.

This is great. I hope they make the charges stick and Mbadinuju gets what he deserves.
unfortnately, I cant help but interpret this as further indication that OBJ is indeed setting course on 3rd term agenda.Or he is peparing the ground to insert his own stooge.
What other explanation could there be for OBJ making so many enemies by the arrest of so many prominent Nigerians towards the end of his tenure?

Is he not afraid of making such powerfull enemies that might be in position of power tomorrow after his retirement as president in 2 yearstime?

What was he doing all the time from 1999 t0 2005 is six years out of a maximum of 8 all the time he did little or nothing in this context.
now with 2 years to go he is franticaly arresting people.
Fasheun, Adams, Dokubo, Uwazurike are names that come to mind. while the thieving ex IG got away with a slap on the wrist, some of these people are in for indefinite detention with their trail draging on for no just cause.
It is now with 2 years to go that he has remembered anti corruption, weilding it like a big stick. It is ingenious of him actualy.
He kills so many birds with one stone.
With this same anti corutpiton/EFCC gimick, OBJ can punish those unloyal to him to set an example, and prevent the rest from becoming unloyal because they are all corrupt. Thats 2 in 1.
Thirdly he eliminate political opponents on corruption charges and fourthly as a concequence of that drive home his 3rd term agenda.
A fiveth and sixth consequence would be his being sung as a hero by the international community and local community respectively (i.e the propaganda and PR value)
Ingenious I say.
Various political figures,eg Marwa etc and various atiku associates and percieved unloyal governors have been decimated this way like pawns on a grand chess board with OBJ playing both sides. while the real bad eggs, the real big looters whom we all know (like IBB and associates, Abukar salami and associates, OBJ and supporters) have remained untouched.
Gentlemen, this is just a deep gut feeling, or call it a speculation,
But I doubt very much that these spate of arrests and persecutions are borne out of sincerity, and I firmly believe that they should not be taken at face value.
rather we should continue to watch and be vigilant as Obasanjo`s chess game continues to unfold.

Mbadinuju´s own is well deserved thogh and infact he has a lot more crimes to answer for including corruption.
It is intresting to note that Mbadinuju was not accused of corruption, which would have been easy to proove and document.
He his being arrainged for the murder of the Igwe`s which to my mind will be beyond the capacity of the nigerian police to prove beyond all reasonable doubt.

Let them get him on corruption also then I will know they are serious about his case and its not all smoke screen. Even Al Capone, when they could not get him for murder or smugling or any other illegal activities, they got him for tax evasion.

I guess you meant prominent treasury looters or else i do not understand why attached prominent to the rougues

Is he not afraid of making such powerfull enemies that might be in position of power tomorrow after his retirement as president in 2 yearstime?

Clear conscience fears no ......

What was he doing all the time from 1999 t0 2005 is six years out of a maximum of 8 all the time he did little or nothing in this context.
now with 2 years to go he is franticaly arresting people.

It is called: SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST

Fasheun, Adams, Dokubo, Uwazurike are names that come to mind.

Although they are not criminals or treasury looters like Tafa the thief, but they are Secessionists, and they deserved to be locked away for a long time

while the thieving ex IG got away with a slap on the wrist, some of these people are in for indefinite detention with their trail draging on for no just cause.

Clear conscience have no cause to be afraid of Sheriff Ribadu big stick

Thirdly he eliminate political opponents on corruption charges and fourthly as a concequence of that drive home his 3rd term agenda.

They gave him the chance, but i will bet my last cent on it that OBJ will not stay a day longer in office than necessary

A fiveth and sixth consequence would be his being sung as a hero by the international community and local community respectively (i.e the propaganda and PR value)
Ingenious I say.

After Mandela, OBJ is next when you talk about Africa Statesmen

Various political figures,eg Marwa etc and various atiku associates and percieved unloyal governors have been decimated this way like pawns on a grand chess board with OBJ playing both sides.

It seems this tribal marked OBJ is a good chess player. He might have been born in Russia for all we know about his chess playing
while the real bad eggs, the real big looters whom we all know (like IBB and associates, Abukar salami and associates, OBJ and supporters) have remained untouched.

Didn't you guys said he was using Marwa against Atiku, until Marwa got the "nightmare invitation from you know who

Your doubt is unfounded

rather we should continue to watch and be vigilant as Obasanjo`s chess game continues to unfold.

Clear your vision so you can see well

The bet is on bro!!

but no longer than neccesary? who gets to decide what is neccessary and what not?
You see you are already pre-empting your boss obasanjo, by insinuating that it might be "neccessary" for obasanjo to stay longer than stipulated by the constitution.

P.S,
Bababoys, for the record please note, I insist that you should in future refrain from using the words "clear concience" and "obasanjo" in the same breath.
Clear concience from what?
Is it massisive killing of Igbo civillians and genocide from 1967-70? Is it corruption? is it negligence? is it the suffering of nigerians/Biafrans? is it political arrests and torture? is it political assasinations?
Obasanjo has clear concience? well so does satan.

Mbadinuju petitions IG over alleged police harassment
Lawyers representing former Anambra State Governor Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju have petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IG) Sunday Ehindero over the protracted harassment of Mbadinuju's family by men of the Nigeria Police. The petition dated February 7, 2006 which emanated from Luke Aghanenux Associates, chronicles an alleged spate of extortion's blackmail and robbery carefully carried by the Police all in the name of trying to unravel the murder of Barnabas Igwe, former chairman of Onitsha branch of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) and his wife, Abigail. According to the petition, since the latter part of 2005, the family of Mbadinuju have become deeply enmeshed in a complicated web of spurious and confounding criminal investigations by men of the Nigerian Police Force. This has not only resulted in two trumped-up charges against Mbadinuju but has also triggered off a spate of unending harassment, blackmail, robbery, extortion and deliberate obfuscation of credible leads to the unravelling of the gruesome murder of the Igwes. The petitioner said that since the reported killing of Mr. Ken Emekaji around September 29, 2005, a new twist has emerged in the Mbadinuju case. He was accosted on October 5, 2005 in his law office in Abuja by some police officers who accused Mbadinuju in the kidnap and killing of Emeakayi and demanded N100,000,000 (one hundred million naira) from him, in order to let him off the hook.
