"....even if there were "10 million" Nigerians abroad, they are "inconsequential" to Nigeria."... .....frank fweke.

Mr. frank nweke is as stupid as an Igbo can be. This fool does not realise that the silence or inactivity indicates that Igbo do not think much of him or the dense moron he serves, and they show it by ignoring him, olusegun obasanjo and their country altogether. After all, the majority of socalled "nigerians" abroad are really Great Biafran Patriots who are extremely wary, contemptious of frank nweke and his kind of Igbo, nigeria, its incompetent, fraudulent yoroba/awusa rulers and the yoroba/awusa cultures that form its fabric. One day, and it wont be that long, these Great Biafrans would have had it with the failed state and with Igbo vultures like frank nweke, who feed fat on that stinking filt called nigeria, and all hell would break lose, sweeping inconsequential Igbo loud-mouths like frank nweke away with it. It will be bloody.

Hail Biafra!!!

This Amadi person! Seems to me you are stuck in stupid. You are so tribal, I wonder if you ever think of making love to a woman, raising kids or doing things normal human beings enjoy. So you are ready to be bloody? You need to ask your forebearers to educate you on the stupid attempt to secede in the 70s. The beauty of it is that as the Miniter says, you are so inconsequential you are irrelevant! Deal with that, biafran loser.

You are the one who needs education on what happened during the first war. Obviously you were still in your mother's stomach then; I witnessed it first hand. And I'm here telling you that the only way to resolve the outstanding issues between nigeria and Biafra, going by yoroba/awusa intransigence, is another major bloodshed.

Why are black people like you so opposed to using the intrumentality of war to gain the freedom that will elevate you to the ranks of the world's leading nations? Like Fela Kuti said, people like you want to go to heaven, but do not want to die. In Biafra, we have all it takes to build a modern world class technological civilization that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best the world has to offer. We are being stymied by sharing the same space called nigeria with shiftless cultures like yoroba/awusa, who have traditions different than the Igbo way of hardwork and frugality, and like to consume things made in other lands; Biafrans like to manufacture. Since the yoroba/awusa control the levers of power that keep the culture of fraud and corruption going, and subordinate Biafrans to the unjust, unproductive system, won't you agree with me that there is a failure of diplomacy?; that the next level is war and blood shed, as was the case in the '60s when nigerians failed to read Biafran mood?

There's nothing tribal about this!!

Those that make peaceful change impossible, will consequently be making violent change inevitable.

And I foresee a multi-dimensional catastrophe in Nigeria. It's not gonna be a situation where Igbos are isolated. It will be the Igbos fighting for their own cause, the southern minorities fighting for their own good, the middle-belters fighting to gain something........even the Yorubas may try and stand and fight for once!!!!

The onus is on the powers that be, to open their ears and listen to the masses who are suffering. Coz the day of reckoning may hit them faster than they think. They shouldn't wave aside people's protests and pains with such silly statement as Frank Nweke's.

There is a limit to what any human being can take, and I have a feeling that oppressed Nigerians (including Biafrans) have had more than enough.

Just hope that 2007 elections is not the trigger than will crash the sadistic party called Nigeria.

You see why your earlier thread was insulting to Igbos. when you brand them the most backwards tribe. People like this guy Kesu will run with it, and use it to insult Igbos.

You are right. But if that fool thinks he's got ammunition to attack Igbo, let him look at his nigeria and those who run it. For over 30years, yoroba/awusa have been in charge, running things the best way they know. Yet every year, things continue to get worse for those unfortunate Africans who live there under their jurisdication.

So who are the most incompetent people in the world that give Africa the backward sigma it rightly deserves? Clearly, it is the yoroba/awusa cultures that the world has in mind when they dismiss Africa as a special case. Look at what the yoroba acting alone have done with nigeria in 8years under the dense moron olusegun obasanjo.

Amadi, first of, I was alive and well during the war and was affected by it in manner that I wouldn't share with you because you can't understand. But since you were a witness to it, you ought not to be suffering from the same stupid idea that you can win a war against the rest of the nation. It is the same approach that cost Igbos several lives and turned ojukwu to a mere recluse in his fatherland. He is so irrelevant he had no influence on the Anambra House when it decided to impeach Obi.

As for insutling Igbos...you guys are sick if you think you speak for the Igbos. Only failed Igbos want biafra. Successful Igbos want Nigeria to remain intact so they can continue to do lucrative business with their fellow citizens.

Igbos got what it takes to make biafra a successful country? Hmm I wonder if you have any evidence of that. Igbo states as presently constituted have nothing to show to support your claim.

As for Yoruba and Hausa, Amadi, now I see that you are not only ignorant about the extent of your tribe's ability, you are not a student of history. These two tribes you so ignorantly dismissed, built empires before the whitemen came to Africa. They had superior administrative skills, they had civilization, They built vast commercial, cultural and educational centers. They are called Kanem Bornu Empire and Oyo Empire. Have you ever heard of Igbo Empire? You guys were forest dwellers. You didnt build your society. How do you evaluate a people if not by their ability to build their own society. In this important area, Igbos had no imput. So when people talk about native intelligence, the Igbos could not be on the list. Any wonder you find it hard to live with others?!

Igbo fought ONE war and lost. Go and read Yoruba history of warfare to learn about how they built Oyo Empire and their influence in the whole of West Africa region.
When you people write, you do so with serious deficiency in fact and you show your ignorance.

Kesu,

Well, I couldn't learn anything new from the Yoruba history of warfare. I know of the Ilorin betrayal by the Kakanfo e.t.c.

The best I could drag out from the Yoruba history of warfare was Oladipo Diya et al crying, kneeling and begging a junior officer for crumbs:-))

Abiola was almost there, but couldn't resist dressing up like a woman, lipstick and all, to flee but got caught. TYPICAL!!!!

Awolowo did his best to improve Yoruba statistics in the War Reputation chat by starving Biafran women and children to death in their millions.

So Kesu, as you can tell, I know a lot about this Yoruba history of warfare.

NwaUmu-Nri, still performing under acceptable level in a civilized society. The modern Igboland is full of individuals who have made personal choices contrary to the tribal interests. One in partucular, an elder statesman who should know better, left his father's home and traveled to Minaa to declare for presidency. he was abandoned not only by his people but the whole nation. There was also the case of traditional rulers, grown men, who traveled to Minna to beg IBB to look out for Igbo interests by picking an Igbo running mate, challenge Obasanjo in 2003, winning with Igbo supports, drop out in 2007 for the Igbo running mate! That plan died when IBB refused to challenge his boss and they left with their tails tuck between their legs.

If you knew what went on during Abacha era, you wont dress up Abiola in rags. Going in and out of the country was as easy as breeze. Don't forget Radio Kudirat. Talk to members of NADECO who were Igbos and they will tutor you on the ability of the Yoruba to bring down a government without firing a sinlge shot or losing their civilization. It is a matter for the brains, not gragra

biafrans got what they deserve for daring to be so stupid to think that they could confront the rest of the nation and win. You don't singlehandledly declare hostilities and then cry when your opponent responded. When food meant for the biafran civilians were being illegally given to the rebels, the sound thing is to block the source of food. Hungry ragtag army is a useless army. You learn something today. If you have anything to complain about in biafra, look to Ojukwu for daring to lead and the Igbos for being gullible enough to follow him to their death and destruction. Looking at your posts here, I see history repeating itself.

Referencing Are Onakakanfo Afonja is hardly an evidence that you know the history of warfare in yorubaland. You ought to start at the point of capturing the whole of the western side of River Niger, to points North and westernly part of West African region and the resolute stand against the Fulani incursion into the yoruba land. Tell us how Igbos have shown such bravery, if you can.

I see you did not tough on the Hausa warfare and their ability to build an emptire. I also see that you did not touch on the fact that Igbos were forest dwellers wearing leaves at the time Yoruba and Hausa were busy building their civilizations.

I know you want me to adopt the Awolowos and the Abiolas as my hero. But I think you have have to wait a little longer.....probably indefinitely.
I still find it difficult to dress Abiola up in an Agbada instead of in rags, especially as I haven't succeeded in getting rid of the bra-clad, thong-wearing, lipstick applying and high heel-wearing imagery I have of him, as he attempted to show the world Yoruba prowess in waging a war "without firing a single shot" (as you put it)
I will also try not to dwell too long on the fact that Abiola was alleged to have poured cold-water on Igbo support before that election. He was alleged to have boasted that he didn't need Igbo support. As I am (Igbo bu Igbo), he doesn't need my support.

This fighting a war "without firing a single shot" will explain the peaceful posture of kitchen General Diya as he was grovelling before a Hausa junior officer. I'm tempted to nominate him for a Nobel Peace Prize :-)

The thing about the Yorubas is that when the going is good, they tend to secure everything for themselves with total disregard for others. This will explain why Abiola allegedly made that controversial statement against the Igbos. This will also explain why OBJ is acting as though he is God at the moment. But once they are in a bit of a deep ****, they tend to want others to join them in their struggles rather than going it alone, for fear of harming their flesh, a very cowardly behaviour. That is why it didn't surprise me when you made mention of the "members of NADECO who were Igbos and they will...blah blah blah blah". A Very typical behaviour of a cowardly group. Witness how OBJ will calm down once he's no longer the president.

Now I detected a pinch of gloating in your message. Let me tell you that Yorubas' enjoyment will end once OBJ leaves office in 2007, and that will show you how hollow the victory you talked about really is/was. IT WILL END IN LESS THAN A YEAR!!!!!!

You talked about "the resolute stand (of the Yorubas) against the Fulani incursion into the yoruba land". Well the evidence we have on the ground is that about half of Yorubas are false prophet worshippers (commonly known as islamists), so I don't see the fruits of this resolute stand you talked about. Compare this with the Igbos, who have a clear christian majority. Igbos obviously did their homework right;-). The koran is only good enough as a toilet paper in our parts, so IT'S ALL GOOD!!!! So what you guys consider your holy book, is regarded as a toilet paper in our parts. I JUST HAD TO PARAPHRASE THE PREVIOUS SENTENCE.

You talked about your empires. Well these were entities born out of oppression of the weak, so I can hardly call that civilization. To me, civilization means the degree by which you consider a fellow human being as worthy of respect, and love and kindness. That was the civilization we drenched ourselves in, in Igboland, so we have absolutely no need for your own kind of feudal civilization, based on the enslavement of the weak, and the raping of their women and the plundering of their possessions. So I really pity your kind.

Typical loud-mouth African who believes his ancestors built the world. What ancient yoroba empire or story are you trying to hide the mind-boggling incompetence of modern yoroba professionals? And how did they build that empire? With yoroba expertise in voodoo technology; with yoroba loud-mouth, or did they build it during the battle of Ilorin when Afonja abandoned his infantry men at the sight of advancing column of awusa/fulani conquerors of the yoroba "empire".

Look, we're talking about competitiveness of nations in the modern world economy. Yoroba/awusa simply don't got it going by the evidence on the ground in nigeria since 1970. Don't take umbrage in what allegedly happened in ancient history; that doesn't feed the Africans unfortunate to live under the thorough mismanagement of the Biafra/nigeria economy by yoroba/awusa.

No monkey thinks their baby is ugly. But the best way to settle the Biafra vs nigeria issue is to peacefully separate the nations that are forced to endure the incompetence of the cultures that run everything in nigeria. Then we will see who got all it takes to build a technologically advanced civilization that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of the world to build the shining city on the hill for the rest of black people to copy.

I only ask for the defence portfolio in the Republic of Biafra to teach you wayward nigerians a lesson in discipline!

LOLOLOLOL. Having a good belly laugh as bolaji aluko would yak.

This fighting a war "without firing a single shot" will explain… why all the Yoroba so-called banana Generals scampered away during abacha’s stranglehold on them. What they call without firing a shot is known by intellectual powerhouses as SABOTAGE.

Let me tell you that Yorubas' enjoyment will end once OBJ leaves office in 2007,… And the awusas will start from whence they stopped and again aluko’s kin will be on the lam.

To me, civilization means the degree by which you consider a fellow human being as worthy of respect, and love and kindness. That was the civilization we drenched ourselves in, in Igboland,…until their combined corrupt cultures bastardized things for the rest of the country.

Then you wonder how come a good chunk of your folks prostrated to islam if not for the violent conquering!!

Mazi Amadi, debating with bolaji aluko whom I used to respect is like trying to get the attention of a toddler on sugar, not gonna happen. If we are so terrible I can’t for the life of me figure why any would insist on having a terrible neighbor or visitor who wants out around by every illegal means! The Igbos are so bad yet this awusa guy and his Yoroba collaborators refuse to yield to wise counsel and follow the examples of Sweden, Soviet Union, Yugoslavia etc?

Amadi, you better learn from your superiors who happen to be Hausa and Yoruba or you will die an angry frustrated man. Right now you are insignificant in Igboland in particular and in Nigeria in general. Stay right here in the cyberland where your opinions, as stupid as they are, matter. Yoruba and Hausas have always determine your future and decide what you get. So far they have decided that you can't leave or lead the nation. So they have given your people the presidency of the senate and each one served at the pleasure of a yoruba man! Here you are in the cyberworld, boasting, blowing hot air and making a fool of yourself. In the real world, you are a nobody!

NwaUmu Nri, don't get carried away, Awolowo and or Abiola did their lot, they are national heroes and never caused the death of their people. Real heros. They don't need you. You have ojukwu. He has done well for the Igbos. NOT!

He sees building of empires as oppression of the weak! Hey Mr. empires are built by brave men. My question is still on the groud. What has Igbos done. Tell us your history. Tell us what you did that is brave. Tell us what you did that is a sign of strength. Forget Yoruba and Hausa, lets talk about Igbos. Lecture me on your abilities. Tell us what you have done today aside from turning Nigeria into a dumping ground of fake, cheap goods. Tell the world what your governors have been able to do to capture the essence of Ndi Igbo. time for raw fat here. Lets go. Don't come back with your regular childish conjecture, give us fact and figures, if you can.

I'm glad you have the courage to own up to the record of incompetence and mismanagement of the nigerian economy by your tribesmen. Now we know that you're proud of your culture of corruption, awufu, fraud, incompetence and indiscipline. Bravo!!

BTW, remember that before ever there was yoroba/awusa near nigerian government, Igbo were in charge. In case you forgot, Igbo man won the independence that you yoroba/awusa have now thoroughly abused. Of course it was the glory days when Igbo know-how led innovations and efficiencies in the economy. So for the Igbo, running nigeria is a case of been there, done that, you moron.

Kesu,
Amadi has already thrown some light into what notable Igbos did in times past.
Let me just make one more addition, the artefacts dug out in the Igbo-Ukwu excavations outdate the Ife bronze collection by centuries, so maybe you guys tried your famous copy-cat moves, but obviously came up short.
The Oba of Benin did a wonderful job to really reveal the meaning of the word Yoruba. Just to remind you, the word is "oYO oRU oBA" which is an Igbo sentence which means "Oyo the slave of the Oba (of Benin, that is)", so we can clearly see the depth of your civilization from your name, which happens to be an Igbo sentence anyway. So yet again, the Yorubas even copied the Igbos in the coinage of their name.

Now for the knock-out punch: The very person that you guys are a slave to, happened to be crowned by Nri (Igbo) people in the olden days.
Here is a site that tends to suggest this, and I've heard of this story when I was growing up.

http://www.iupress.indiana.edu/journals/ral/ral29-1.html

Please pay particular attention to the sentences
"In these west-Niger Igbo tales, therefore, the resistance to Benin may be explained not only by the people's collective memory of traumas sustained in the days of Benin's military ascendancy, but indeed by an instinctive withdrawal from shades of "epistemic violence" brought upon their traditions by that ascendancy. This point becomes clearer when set against two factors. The first is the people's pride in their own cultural history which, in some important respects, precedes the well-advertised achievements of Benin. For instance, it is well-known that the ritual culture of the Nri Igbo (from which many if not most west-Niger communities descended) played key roles in the religious and ceremonial life of the Benin kingdom. Some crucial articles of worship in Benin are traceable to Nri;8 besides, early British colonial officials reported Nri claims that the Benin nation was subject to them and that the Eze Nri (Nri king) crowned the monarchs of Benin and generally superintended the religious observances of surrounding communities (Afigbo, Ropes 60)."

Hopefully, you will now dispose of the notion you've had all your life that Yorubas were more civilized than the Igbos. You will now agree with us, that the reverse was always the case.

Hmm leave it to a biafran to bring already discredited account to support his claim!!! Yoruba is a word given to the peoples of Western Nigeria by the Fulanis. It was a new word the Yoruba never coined but accepted as an identification. At the time the whole of western Nigeria, including Benin, points north and far west including parts of Ghana was known as Oyo Empire, the subgroups were known by separate and dinstict identification Hence you had the Ijebus, Egbas, Ekitis, Ijeshas, Ibaribas, Eguns, itsekiris etc. They were not known collectively as yoruba then.

So how could the name coined after Oyo Empire had been subjugated by the British be a point of reference for these fraudsters? How could the forest dwellers come to see themselves as the forebearers of those who built and sustained a great society when the forest dwellers themselves have not achieved much in building a town let alone an empire?!

Amadi, you are getting it wrong, as usual. I am not speaking for yoruba, they are not my tribemen. I am here to teach you biafrans the truth about yourselves, you are hot air blowers, you are cowards, slow, paranoid, socially inferior, inept, lazy money hungry lot. Deal with that.

As for the terrible state our dear Nigeria is today, all the nationalities that make up Nigeria should share the blame. A head of state alone could not be responsible for our terrible state. But of course you can't think that large, you are a biafran, citizen of an imaginary country! You could not run your own affairs let alone lead a country.

Kesu,

Yoruba = oYO oRU oBA = Oyo the slave of the Oba

The original Yorubas (for the want of a better word) are the Oyos.
Infact up until 1900 and a bit, even the Egbas were not identified as Yorubas.
So don't think that throwing around a few Yoruba sub-groups will scare me away. No chance on earth.

The Oba of Benin has already told the whole world the truth, and even a prominent Yoruba oba backed his claim

Already I've revealed that the excavations in Igbo-Ukwu were centuries older than the ones found in Yorubaland, and so far you haven't refuted this. Please give us facts. I've already given you this Igbo-Ukwu fact, I've also supplied you with the oYo oRU oBA fact. And even the Benin oba court had Igbo influence, as I'm sure you picked up from the website I supplied in my initial message.

Listen you dumb a$$ nigerian: I will let you stew in your blind hate for the Igbo way. That's the only tool available to you nigerians when you can't win in a fair competition with the Igbo in a level playing field.

But I must ask you nigerians to resist the habit of including Igbo when you point fingers at those who continue to screw up your nigeria. The Igbo does not accept any blame in the mismanagement of the failed state; it is all masterminded by the incompetent cultures that have run the place since Igbo left the scene in 1967, period.

I hope you will now rid yourself of notions of Igbo involvement in creating the mediocre that is nigeria since 1970.
