Need I say more? Congrats BNW and many happy returns.

"A man muzzled by his brains is a useless creature" – Booker T. Washington.

The educator had that to say about Jack Johnson the heavy weight champ at the time, 1912 when he repetitiously fell in the same trap with the law. We can say nigeria is muzzled by its brains and therefore like Mr. Booker said, a worthless entity with BNW being here all along with wonderful reminders of this. My thanks to you guys especially the Web Chief who is burdened by the many vicious articles that go uncensored by sticking to his journalistic creed. More healthy and scholarly birthdays to BNW, see you in Biafra soon, real soon.

BNW is the most consistent Nigeria web site in terms of stability, (Always there, no matter the time of the day) but not necessarily in terms of contents.

Furthermore, I regard BNW as the freest of all Nigerian web sites because it is totally, absolutely and unequivocally censor free. You say whatever is on your mind in the best way you know how to say it and whoever doesn’t like it is allowed to reply in kind, cry foul to high hell, but the Administrator stay away from it all. No Freedom of Speech can be better than that.

I salute the Administrator and all those working behind the scenes for the continuity and stability of BNW.

Happy Birthday BNW and I hope to celebrate more (To the agony of chimpboy and his cronies) with you in the many years ahead.

In the words of TB, I live here.

Sure. Na you be superior. After Jesus Christ na you, no worry.
Ednut, rest assured that your so called "newbies" will endevour to respect people like you based on the criteria of their date of registration to the forum.
Never mind if your views and opinions make sense or not. We just have to respect our "seniors" on this forum because they managed to click on this URL before our humble selves.
Never mind that some "newbies" would certainly senior some "longtime members" in physical age, maturity of views, intellect, exposure, proffessional and educational status, etc.
Never mind all that, what counts as a basis for respect on this forum is your date of registration to the forum . Great.

Mazi Ednut,
make i tell you, you seem to have misunderstood the Omenala concept of "respect your elders" and twisted it to fit your own fantasy "Igbo-American" world.
For your information, we are not in secondary school boarding house here, where you get to become a "senior boy" by virture of your being in year 5.
You feel me?
[Big Question]
you will not force anybody here to respect you and the respect will never be automatic based on your date of registration. Respect can only be earned.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BNW!! May the worst days of your future be better than the best days of your past!

Nice going! My congratulations go to all those hard at work ensuring that we are provided with an outlet for all our pent-up rage. Since I discovered this site, my friends have had a reprieve of sorts because I no longer bang on to them about how things should change in that country. When their eyes begin to glaze over, I come here!

Top marks to forumites whose posts have kept the site going from the off. Your dedication over these many years is commendable. Also, congratulations to ‘newbies’ like MeB (oooh they rhyme) who has somehow managed to make 2077 posts in less than two years (compared to Ednut’s 2089 in 5 years!). Yeah, facts are facts. Don’t hate.

Congratulations to all on both sides of the divide. As we fight our corners, we should remain appreciative of the differences that serve to either change our minds or reinforce our views.

Ochi,

Good answer to Ednut. You have spoken well for ‘us’. Trust Ednut to put a dampener on proceedings. No be birthday we come celebrate for this thread? Instead Ednut has to turn it into a pissing contest. Insecurities? Perhaps.

Meanwhile, as your attention was diverted by Ednut, you forgot to say your congratulations to BNW.

LOL. Man, you’re some else. You almost got me until I checked to see that: Ednut and MeBiafran are Supreme Advocates, in BNW parlance, both are elders. And if we’re to push it further, you should pay homeage to me for driving othniel the terror outta here. lol. Like that awusa boy, em what’s his name, umaru says, do the math. It’s a pity bababoyz already grabbed the “Eze Igbo gburugburu of BNW”. lol.

My own people Ochi & IgboB, I believe Ed was trying to kick in some fun and he did. Biko unu egbule ya, not yet anyway.

HAPPY 5th ANNIVERSARY BNW!!!

MeBiafran:

You are the man! Keep trucking, man!

By the way, have you heard from Ukaobasi ever since he proposed to you know who...? How about Greg's honeymoon? Ain't it over yet?

It's all good! After all, Mr Fathead has passed out over the celebration of BNW's 5th Anniversary. What else can I say? In your own case, never do what I wouldn't do and make sure Fathead doesn't slip into a coma. He will be missed.

Did I hear someone say "I live here"? Never mind the veteran Ednut and the rookies. We are together, and that's why this place rocks, rocks, rocks and just rocks.

But it's amazing though how time runs by quick. Just like that. Amazing.

But you know what? What's up with this Odogwu guy who popped up just like that in the wake of BNW 5th? Mark my words, he's up to something. Watch for a few days, and you will see him talk freely about his crack addiction in the alleys, his ex-wife and miserable life in his native land of Okitipupa. Don't get me wrong though. He's someone you want to go out and have a beer with, but never trust him in any deal. He will make a sudden 180-degrees turn.

So what's shaking with Ochiwar and Igboblood, man? I think they need anger management classes. Am I wrong? What do you think?

Well, not much to say at all, just that this place rocks. I have no idea what would be my fate if I'm denied the privilege to air here, the place that keeps body and soul one.

I have my trailer stuffed for the month-long BNW 5th and it's gonna be a whole lot of fun.

Maximum respect!

I live here!!

The founding fathers of BNW refused to be intimidated when Nigeriaworld members decided to go to Atlanta to form NIDO. BNW subsequently provided a reliable, technically superior forum to voice concerns about people who have failed economically abroad colluding with thieving politicians under the NIDO umbrella. This is where I disagree with Bababoyz about contents on BNW. BNW contributors realised very early the machinations of NIDO supporters and said so in characteristic forthright manner. The rest of the thieving NIDO story is already history. No amount of beautiful prose ass licking commentary surpasses the accurate BNW predictions. NIDO is just one example how BNW puts the other websites in the shed.

Anyone who has been following what we say on BNW about Banana Republic of Nigeria would have seen MEND coming. We have been on record as telling everyone that what happens to Nigeria is not so much dependent on what an incompetent corrupt bully in Abuja does as what the disenfranchised people decide to do. That too shall come to pass.

Happy Birthday BNW!

I remember the very early days of BNW.

Let's go way back!

Click here to see how the BNW homepage looked on May 17 2001, two months after BNW was created in March 2001.

But, the veterans here know that the homepage was not the issue. The issue was the BNW forums.

Click here to see what this great message board looked like on May 25, 2001. Back then, you got here by pointing to the URL: http://biafranigeria.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi and all links to BNW forums posts started that way.

The BNW forums remain the most vibrant in the BiafraNigerian cyberspace. Things have changed a little around here from the early days and months. In the beginning, these forums were the only active parts of the site.

CSE:

Who could forget? The Obasanjo-sponsored NIDO and the ill-conceived Nigeria Liars Foundation (NLF, which was perpetrated in Atlanta) are birds of the same feather. [Big Grin] BNW members made sure that the similarities remained uncovered.

Happy 5th Anniversary BNW.

Also, many thanks to the technical personnel who have kept BNW functioning at peak capacity for 5 glorious years.

Above all, I want to thank you Ladies and Gentlemen who have taken time from your busy schedules to write a sentence or two on the issues of the day. Do not grow weary of making your thoughts known because someone somewhere has ( and will continue) to benefit from your thoughts.

BNW long rule the Waves!

That was a white lie. I was one of the Nigerianworld members who went to Atlanta and what we formed was Nigerian Leadership Foundation (NLF) and not NIDO as you deliberately falsified.

Atlanta 2001 Conference

Furthermore, it was after the success of the Atlanta conference that Amanda and chimpboy colluded together to 419 BNW members with their anniversary celebration party, and Amanda being a street smart girl outsmarted chimpboy and absconded with Africawest supposedly mega donation.

The 419 Party part 1

The 419 Party part 2

The 419 Party part 3

Party Account

The wise judgement of the Administrator - The blow that put paid to the 419

Hmm, that was some fun time around here.

Happy Birthday BNW.

Let there be no division between the founding veterans and the new members who have proved worthy to be called veterans just by their sheer energy and high spirit.

I have to say that I enjoy reading Greg, MeBiafran, Ochiwar, IgboBlood, and even Markus Weber. It does not mean that I will not jump in when I disagree, or when I know they are totally off base. I did that with MeBiafran a while ago.

All of us combined make BNW. BNW is the big tent for all. It does not matter if you are Igbo or Biafran, Yoruba or Hausa-Fulani, or a mino. As I see it, this is the place.

Happy Birthday BNW!

P/S:
