The Chinua Achebe Foundation has fired off the first issue of what it calls "The Achebe Colloquium: In Celebration of Nigerian Excellence." But, if you don't have a late version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, don't bother to click on the link to the pdf file published at BNW because all you see may be Chinese characters.

But if you have the free Adobe software installed, it promises to be a great treat. The first issue focuses on "Excellence in Science and Medicine." In my view, it should have been entitled, "Excellence in the Medical Sciences." But, it makes for a good reading as it showcases some BiafraNigerians professionals that anyone could be proud of. LOL! I hope no one sues the foundation for leaving his/her name out of the list.
