Folks,

It is now official that the Uba brothers now own Anambra state. It is also clear that Peter Obi and his advisers did not politic 101 lessons.

Some of us have been shouting ourselves hoarse that though Ngige did not win the elections, he was performing well for the people of Anambra state and should have been left to finish what he started. But no, we had to go with our emotions instead of our heads.

I became obvious to the Uba boys that the only way Ngige could go was if they admitted to haven rigged the election, removed Ngige (who had marched them brain for brain, brawn for brawn) in favour of Peter Obi who they recognised as a political neophyte.

Well this was done and of course "the he was a war veteran brigade" cheered. Then the man showed what an idiot he was by disbanding the people who would have protected him and inviting the Nigerian police to kill Umu Igbo.

Chekwas Okorie must be having a laugh at the expense of APGA Anambra. It was the great M. I. Okpara who famously said, "first fool no be fool, second fool na proper fool"

Good riddance to a rather poorly informed political novice. If only Peter Obi cared to read what we have been saying on BNW!

It all started when the rogue APGA faction sold out to Obasanjo over the ill fated talk shop alias national conference. With an Obasanjo promise of one state to APGA, the selfish Umeh/Ojukwu gang betrayed Chekwas Okorie, ignored the fact that Ngige was essentially a very effective administrator and more importantly matched Uba/Obasanjo mafia formation with Igbo orientated security outfit.

Obi went about deluding himself about presenting a superior argument at the court of appeals. Or he foolishly believed his own lie about superior argument when he allowed and criminally collaborated with Nigeria Army to kill and maim hundreds of young Igbo men who would have protected him against the foreign warlords and their shameless saboteur friends in Anambara State.
Sure his political epitaph will read "here lies the wretched remains of a greedy wimp who burned his bridges minutes before he needed them to cross turbulent shark infested waters".

UNFORTUNATELY IGBO'S WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE POLITICS OF NIGERIA. WE AS NDI-IGBO SHOULD COVER OUR FACES IN SHAME. OBJ IS DIGGING IN, IF HE SUCCEED IN THROWING OUT ONE MORE GOVERNOR, FORGET ABOUT 2007 ELECTIONS.
HE WILL NOW HAVE REASON TO STAY IN POWER FOR THE THIRD TERM. THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT. ANAMBRA LEGISLATORS ARE BUNCH OF FOOLS.I THOUGHT THOSE OF HERE KNOW BETTER?
Ndi-Igbo unu bu ewu? We are foolishly too emotional.

Impeachment: Anambra markets closed in protest

By Chinenye Nwagu
Posted to the Web: Wednesday, November 01, 2006

Sorry, your browser does not support floating frames

Onitsha —Markets in Anambra State , including the multi billion Onitsha Main Market were yesterday closed for the second time since the Anambra State House of Assembly moved to impeach Governor Peter Obi.
All the major markets in the state’s commercial nerve centre, Onitsha including Ochanja, Bridgehead, Ogbaru main Market, Ogboefere, Nkpor Market, New spare parts, New tyres, Old spare parts Obosi were also shut down in compliance with Ohaneze Ndigbo, Anambra state chapter directive that there should be a sit-at-home in protest against the stance of the group of 15 legislators of Anambra state House of Assembly pressing to impeach Governor Obi.

Reports said that other major cities such as Nnewi, Awka the state capital, and Ekwulobia indicate that the markets were closed down in solidarity with the embattled Governor Obi.
The President General, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association, (ASMATA), Mr. Sylvester Odife (Jnr), told Vanguard that the closure of the markets was in compliance with the Ohaneze directive to engage in civil disobedience as a protest against the planned impeachment of the Governor.

Odife said that although there were vehicular and motor-bike (Okada), movement as against the directives, the closure of the markets were total and shows the displeasure of traders in attempt to impeach Governor Obi.

In a related development, the executive director, Human Right and Justice Organisation, (HURJO), Comrade Uzor A. Uzor, has called the 15 member legislator at Asaba to retrace their steps in the interest of the Anambra state, especially since the people of the state rejected the Impeachment.
Uzor called on the members to listen to the voice of the people by withdrawing the impeachment notice, since democracy lies with the people, not the Abuja politicians.
He said that the members can still drop the trumped-up charge against Governor Obi, stating that if Speaker Mike Balonwu, wants to be Governor, he should follow due process instead of following the back door.

Civil Liberty Organisation CLO has commended the people for complying with the order saying that this is the beginning of a total defeat of darkness bent on destroying the state. The Anambra people have once again spoken

The nonsense coming out of Anambra State since 1999 is nauseating. I
see Anambra State as Igbo, and I feel completely embarrassed at this
takeover by a cash and carry mentality. The birth of APGA came as
the result of persistent post civil war marginalization of Ndi Igbo
in every sector of Nigeria. Most Igbo were spiritually lifted by
APGA, recognizing that a national political party of Igbo ownership
is a must to reverse the misfortunes of decades of Igbo oppression
in the Nigerian arrangement. In 2003 Ndi Igbo cast their votes for
APGA pursuant to this Igbo interest. Is their any Igbo alive today
who truly believes that PDP won elections anywhere in the Igbo and
Yoruba speaking states?

Just look at what has happened in Anambra state as the result of the
conviction by ordinary Igbo to work the Igbo project: coming out of
a 2002 disaster of this state being the only state in the federation
that did not present a candidate for WAEC, a installed governor
Chris Ngige was abducted barely two months after swearing in; the
governor was returned, but his Federal government security was
pulled ( he spent the rest of his term at the mercy of touts and
underworld elements); hoodlums obviously from the state were
deployed to burn down their own government facilities ( no Hausa or
Yoruba winos were identified among those actually destroying
properties and lives of Anambra people, and no outside influences
can bring even hoodlums from these other ethnic groups to burn their
own existing infrastructural support); Aso Rock and the then
Inspector General of Police did not show any interest in protecting
a government they legitimized (and they had Anambra citizens working
with them to ensure destruction of their state); and now Peter Obi
has been impeached by the same Igbo in a shameless pursuit of more
money for a few more personal commercial properties in
environmentally trashed ghettoes of Onitsha metropolis.

Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nwafor Orizu, Alex Ekwueme, Odumegwu Ojukwu, Emeka
Anyaoku are just a few of Nigeria's national leaders who are most
rubbished in this disgraceful revolution in Anambra state where a
few families in the state are making it clear that they are powerful
enough to purchase the state for keeps. I am not sure that this
revolution should be allowed in any part of Igbo land. This
revolution is counter to the Igbo project and should not be viewed
as Anambra problem. The World Igbo Congress should actually be
leading a fight to quench the gutting flame of this Igbo
marginalization tool. I believe that when this fire is put off in
Anambra state all other Igbo states will be protected from it. This
is also a call to duty for the new ASA- USA executive team. The
process should begin immediately to rally all Igbo to stop this
cancer now lodged in Anambra state before it metastasizes to
paralyze the Igbo nation. Following this joke of Peter Obi's
impeachment, OBJ will in the next few days declare "A state of
Emergency" in Anambra state, and then call in a military
administrator to oversee the 2007 elections in the state. This was a
plan that Governor Chris Ngige foiled many times over during his
term of office. Are we actually so handicapped? Cry indeed, my
people, we have reasonable cause to weep: internal enemies have
opened a wide door for external Igbo enemies, and the impact of the
looting and daytime raping is psychologically overwhelming. Who will
protect our children and secure a future for Ndi Igbo? Our
forefathers must be wondering what they did wrong.

Brother, I want to know who destroyed the same APGA out of their selfish greed to satisfy obasanjo, remember, was it not victor umeh and Ikemba when they were used to go after Chekwas Okorie for no reason? This was after the same Okorie vigorously protested the impending arrest of Ikemba by obasanjo’s so-called sss and at the time when all these were cooking some of us who took exception to Okorie’s treatment by this gang were received with disdain now look at us. Look at us.

I AM TOO SADDENED TO KNOW THAT EKWUEME AND SOME OTHER EMINENT SONS FROM THAT AREA WOULD LEND THEIR SUPPORT TO obj WHO AS ARCH IGBO HATER WILL NEVER BETTER THEIR LOTS. MAYBE THIS WILL REFRESH:

Topic: The gang up against Dim Ojukwu that will not stand the test of time

Methinks Ikemba too have been talking too much especially at the recently held Owambe at Presidential Hotel Enugu. In fact he elevated the crescendo when he made that unfortunate public claim about embezzlement on the part of Chief Okorie, who's supposed to be INNOCENT till guilt is proven by umeh, nwokolo and others. The saddest aspect is the failure of umeh and his fellow crooks to back their noise with irrefutable proof that will convince us beyond any doubt of Chekwas’ guilt. I don’t support any insulting name calling as we saw this afternoon on the person of Ikemba however, he bungled this fallout between umeh, a known crook and Okorie, who’s been Ojukwu’s loyal confidant during his travails in the hands of umeh, obasanjo, nwokolo, you name it. - MeBiafran

Odumegwu-Ojukwu, others affirm Okorie's expulsion From Lawrence Njoku, Enugu - The Guardian

THE crisis in the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) took a turn for the worse yesterday as the party leaders endorsed the expulsion of their chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie.

They also found him "culpable" of all charges preferred against him by the National Working Committee (NWC) led by the rival party Chairman, Chief Victor Umeh.

Addressing the well-attended meeting, its convenor, Ikemba Nnewi Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, narrated his encounter with the former Chairman (Okorie) over the allegations of embezzlement of party funds levelled against him, insisting that events so far had proved that Okorie was guilty as charged. Without any court adjudication Ikemba found Okorie guilty as charged yet the young man is not supposed to be piqued? Isn’t the onus on umeh to show the world how Okorie single handedly emptied APGA’s account? – Italics is Mebiafran’s.

He, therefore, declared the withdrawal of his support for him, just as he enjoined the members to rally round the new leadership to position APGA as a truly national party...

Igbocheta

Forget it, there was nothing like sit at home, Obi’s appointed market union leaders locked the markets but the people went about their normal business ignoring the so called sit at home. Have you ever heard of vehicular movement in Onitsha when MASSOB calls for sit at home? You need to ask yourself why all the okada and bus people ignored Obi, Ohaneze, Ikemba etc. with their sit at home.

Nobody is a fool, the people who would have saved Peter Obi are hiding from the shoot at sight he ordered so let Ohaneze and Ikemba save him. I have never seen such a naïve fellow, what was he thinking when he invited the Ibogun thug to come and ridicule Anambra in Awka? I don’t blame the Chekwas faction for laughing at Obi, they warned Ikemba and co. not to fall for the evil manipulations of Aremu but I guess the thought of being a god father was just too much. How come we don’t hear of JSP Nwokolo any more, I believe he has finished his job of destroying APGA and moved on.

Folks
The so-called MASSOB purported to have been killed by the orders of Gov. Obi were not massob members but youths, Chris Uba and their Abuja master organized to ferment trouble in the name of Massob, carrying Biafran flags, and tee-shirt with massob logo. They were sent to creat confusion in Anambra state.
Even though i do not wish any Igbo son/daughter death, anyone who allows himself to be used by the known enemeis of Ndi-Igbo, should not be spared. Ndi-Igbo we must open our eyes and also think. The enemeis of Ndi-igbo will stop at nothing to destroy all of us. What they did not succeed in doing during the civil war is what they are trying to acheive now by using our own people.
I bet you Gov. Obi will not give such orders if those were true massob members. These people were masqurading as massob members orgnized by chris uba and other OBJ'S agents.
Ndi-igbo unu bu ewu. THINK THINK GUYS. The present mess in Anambra state is the joy of those who hate us. Tufiakwa.

When Peter Obi was talking tough about MASSOB he didn't seem confused about who he meant to destroy.

Governor Obi said: “I have said it every day, all of us know what the problem is and those behind it. This problem is easy and can easily be solved. All we want is let every group leave Onitsha, and by that, I mean MASSOB, NARTO, AVS, whosoever. So, what the police should do is to direct that everybody leaves and any of them who does not leave shoot on sight. They must leave: that is all...“And we are saying they should leave the state and all of you if you mean well for this state should be in the same fight that MASSOB and NARTO leave and expose those behind them because some people are behind them. These people represent nothing good to the people. All they represent is evil.”-Gov.Obi

the next step is to work to bring Peter Obi to Justice for crime against Humanity. thats is the first honourable Part for us to follow and support. the earlier we accomplish that the better.

Ojukwu dumps Obi, endorses Etiaba
PAUL ODILI
Posted to the Web: Sunday, November 05, 2006
*Impeached gov’s security details withdrawn

IN a twist, suggesting that he had dumped impeached Governor Peter Obi, Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu has enjoined the newly inaugurated governor of Anambra State, Dame Virgy Etiaba to carry everybody along in her governance of the state.

Odumegwu-Ojukwu said this, Friday, when the governor paid him a courtesy visit at his Enugu residence immediately after her inauguration by the chief judge of the state.
The Ikemba, who just two days ago paid Obi a solidarity visit at Government House, Awka and assured him of support in his travails with members of the legislature, promised Etiaba of his assistance when needed.

He expressed optimism that all will eventually come out well for Anambra State and its people, adding that no one could question God on the happenings in the state now.
He also called for the peoples support for Etiaba until things were sorted out.
During the visit, the governor appealed for Ojukwu’s support, promising to operate an open door policy and to work for the development of Anambra and its people. Ojukwu is the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressive Grant Alliance, APGA, the party that produced Obi and Etiaba.

Meanwhile Obi’s security details were said to have been withdrawn Friday night. This development is a confirmation that the Federal Government has recognised the emergence of Etiaba as the substantive governor of the state, following her swearing on Friday morning by the state chief judge, Justice Chuka Jideofor Okoli.

The withdrawal of Obi’s security details is coming barely a week after his ADC was unceremoniously withdrawn by the police. Although a replacement was sent, it was, however, learnt that the impeached governor, Obi, refused to accept the new officer, and has since operated without an ADC.

The lesson here is, anyone who is still blindly co-towing in this time and point to Ikemba should do so at his/her own peril and I hope our brothers who are too quick to celebrate Ikemba’s arrival in their midst will take note. In the past we have defended the man but as majority of our people know, the man has lately (perhaps always) been less than forthright and this is wrong.

I still don't understand how he ended up as an NPN member in the eighties. Some have justified it on the grounds that the the ruling NPN granted him pardon on the condition he joined their party. Even if that was a condition, Ojukwu's violent brand of politics as exemplified by Ikemba Front and their clashes with Jim Vanguard set the scene for the lawless Anambara politics of today controlled by the likes of Chris Uba.
His role in breaking up APGA is only consistent with a rather selfish brand of politics which could not have helped him direct the affairs of Biafra properly. His miscalculation, greed and inflated sense of self worth essentially made him an object of laughter as he begged to be appointed a delegate to the anarchist monologue organised by Obasanjo.

IG Nwafor, dont waste a second with such a frustrated, wicked and greedy Meobasanjo and his Tribes eg, Iwuanyawus, nzeribes, nwangwus, udenwas, Imo state Legislatures ,igbo third- termist and their lots. This people have been paid and hired to destroy Ndi-Igbo, destroy igbo intergrity and Igbo Family -Unity by presenting us as always disorganised people.they always pretend to be more igbo than anyone else, they paid lips Service to igbo unity, but when the Valley of desicion appears, they will give-in in a twinkle of an eye to their selfish ,egoistic and greedy intrest. Chameleons are far more better.Since whatever they say does not in any way represent the Mind of the Igbos nor the Situation on the Ground there is no need wasting Time with them, just Laugh it off.

greedy for money!?

their newly found attack on Ikemba is because he endorses a Fellow Popular Igbo Man- Orji Uzor Kalu for Presidency instead of Odilli (River state) and Pat Utomi (River state) or their non-popular Coward and Spinnless Third-termist Gov Udenwas, egwus.
Meobasabjo said Ojukwu is greedy for money, that is why he endoreses OUK!!? even Ikembas worst enemies will tell you that the Word greedy for Money is the last word that you will use to describe Ikemba.Chief CC Onoh, Ekwueme, Chukwumerije etc have also sent their their endosement, are they also greedy for Money? the recent independent Oppinion pools conducted- Kalu name appear as a popular choice among Nigerians- are all nigerians also greedy for OUK money?? international bodys like US state department, many African presidents and bodies etc have sent their approval and endorsement-( the first time in the history and igbo man is getting that far) are they also greedy for money??.
what Money could Ojukwu, chukwumerije,Onoh etc collects from Kalu, thats they could not have collected from Obasanjo to support his Third term??

Odilli, Pat utomi or Biafra!!!?-(mebiafra)

Meobasnjo! ha!...ha!!...ha!.. have just started a thread in BNW were he warned that either Pat Utomi(River state) is allowed to become president of Nigeia or their will be Biafra!
ha!...a!...ha! http://messageboard.biafranigeriaworld.com/ultimatebb.cgi/ubb/get_topic/f/1/t/002250.html

Biafra the best Name to play 419!

-Yesterday it was Igbos are maginalised- so either an igbo man becomes president or Biafra!
-In the Middle,- we dont want Nigerian presidency, all that we want is Biafra!!
-Today, either Pat Utomi, or Odilli becomes President of Nigeria or Biafra!

ha!...ha!...ha!.... ..any way, they will not succedd- the God of Ndi-igbo will not allow them. their days is numbered, cause soon an internal Revolution in igbo Land will take them all out.

MeBiafran, you summed up my feelings about the man. Weber thinks Ojukwu endorsing Orji Uzor Kalu is a big deal, wait until Odili visits Ikemba Nnewi, then you will find out that the man has no shame. That will be when you hear that he has endorsed Odili. Did IOkemba not have solidarity with Obi before turning round to give Madam Governor his full blessings? What could have changed in those few days between showing solidarity with Obi and giving his blessings to Madam Governor?Could it be money? Afterall that was all it took for the man to destroy APGA.

Orji Uzor Kalu's bid for presidency will be dead in the water if he ties it to Ikemba Nnewi as the man has become a liability and not an asset.

… Some of you monster here like to insult Ojukwu and always looking for every chance to do so.- IG Nwafor

Can anyone with some level of educational understanding please show me how my analysis could draw a gutter language from this IG guy who is a Johnny come lately? IG, I’ve in the past staked my reputation to defend this ojukwu who today is another money chasing confused and out of connection searching for relevance wasted cargo and will never ever do it again, defend Ojukwu! I am disappointed that someone like you will join a known crook, weber/nwa aro to insult me even when it’s totally uncalled for. What’s my crime nwa nnaa? Is it now a punishable offense to question your Ikemba’s wisdom? Guess what IG, I’ll not reduce myself to the level you want to take this intercourse but please know that I’m still potent. The challenge for you and your little one-man milk factory, junk exporting German based trader friend who will soon be after you when you dare disagree with him, is to tell us what happened to APGA. To tell the world where in the hell are nwokolo and umeh, all Ojukwu's buddy buddies. Let us please hear how Ikemba could assure obi the murderer of support then as wont the man, do a total 360 within hours with his blessings given to Ms. Etiaba? These are salient points we make while trying not to go all out for this destabilizing agent. If anyone is a plant in Igboland today, Ikemba is not far off, get it? For you, a so-called Igbo person to use a mocking handle concocted by an awusa jihadist to address me shows where your heart for sure is. And pse know that my record is here to speak for itself, how I defended Ojukwu so please respect yourself by being a bit reasonable and not let you emotions guide you to oblivion. Ndewo.

Thanks Wacko.

MeBiafra,
If I were you, I will not loose sleep over the criticism of any Nigerian leader. The days of blank checks are gone. Those were the days Zik, Bello and Awo can get away with anything. Some see Ojukwu as an opportunist. Despite his sound qualities, he has proved those people right.
Sometimes, I think we are all loosers in Nigeria. What can we celebrate?
