Glasgow was this afternoon named the host city for the 2014 Commonwealth games. In the ballot carried out in Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka, Glasgow polled 47 to Abuja’s 24 votes.

This brings to a sweet closure the irresponsible move by the BiafraNigerian government to celebrate the evil amalgamation of Southern and Northern Nigeria in 1914 by Lord Lugard, what Ahmadu Bello once described as the "Mistake of 1914".

The BiafraNigeria bid was woven around the sentiments that Africa has never hosted the games and that it would mark the hundred years of “creation” of the Genocidal State called Nigeria.

BiafraNigeria’s bid led by Yakubu Gowon, the man who committed genocide against Biafrans, promised a “free game” (that is all expenses for Athletes and Officials to be borne by BiafraNigeria) to Commonwealth Nations.

However, the delegates were not impressed by the offer!!

The BiafraNigerian delegates failed to convince the Commonwealth Nations that they can deliver on facilities and security.

Responsible and honest BiafraNigerians should commend the Commonwealth delegates for stopping their government from wasteful spending in a country where more than 80% of the population leave on less than one US dollar per day.

What has Biafra got to do with the ****. It is all Nigerian hopelessness and uncoordination that cost them the bid. Do you think the world has forgotten what happened at the Miss World pagent some few years back, coupled with the nature of things there. The commonwealth is well aware that there is no proper security in place and no infrastructure. Those who led the Nigerian bid had anly one thing in mind, to use the game to steal money and use the foreign companies to Siphon their lot out. It is good they lost out, because the commonman in that country wouldn't have benefited anything from it.I'm sure Abuja loosing out saved some Igbo lives as anything could have sparked the holigans and their masters to Unleash their barbarism on the innocents.
