I sleep on the bottom bunk
Plush to the closet
which has no doors
Hole in the wall
My sanctuary, my shrine of
the mind
Huge doors open before me
the empty cathredral
full of spirits
have come to pray
the scent of beeswax gives me
hope, for someone has come to pray
Me...
I light candles everyday
in this sanctuary of the mind
I bring fresh flowers of prayer
to beg for my brethern
who are never here
And for those who do not know
how to pray
I beg for them
And stand in proxy
and ask for enlightment for
them.
In darkness there is light
for the shrine of the mind
glows a soft light
that truly exsits
for thoughts are energy
and mine creates, this elevated
Cathedral of souls
who gather with the tinkling of
chains which holds them like
the prisoners that they are
begging for an outlet
found in spiritual Communions
offered by old women who
mostly gather here in this
place of refuge...
which, are known world wide
as empty churches
with ice cold pews
rarely sat in
and kneelers rarely knelt on
I keep the santuary light lit
afraid of the cold breath of
unseen
wind that seeks out it's flame
to suffocate the life
that it has to offer
I am the keeper of the hole
in the wall, secret Sanctuary
unknown to anyone but me
