Sport fans,

What is wrong with Nigerian football? It seems that since we have this new Government in Nigeria, the soccer teams in particular and all sports in general are regressing like everything else in that space called Nigeria. A link: http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/sports2/sn816201.html

If the Eagles had won, Obasanjo would have tried to claim credit. Now that they lost, he is in hiding. Anyway, Obasanjo is jinxed. This sports metaphor is just one more way to look at that failed ug-mogue from Otta.

Eagles will win whenever they stop playing politics with sports. Who cares anyway?

Now Looking brother back you are right. Nigeria never had luck in soccer every time Obasanjo is in the saddle of Leadership. Think about this the most hearthbreaking lose Nigeria ever suffered in soccer happened under Obasanjo's watch. Have any of you forgotten 1978 against Tunsia and Godwin Odie own goal at National stadium Lagos. when all Nigeria need was a draw to go to world cup.

Remember two years later after Obasanjo went farming in Ota Nigeria experienced its first Glory in Soccer under Shagari when Christian Chairman Chukwu Led Eagles to captured Nigeria's First African Nations Cup. I tell brothers Obusonjo is caused look at his name alone that explain it all. Obusonjo do I need to say more.

Again Kanu and Olise are off the future of nigerian soccer, is this a good move or an over reaction to recent Ghana invents? Link: http://sports.yahoo.com/m/world/news/reuters/20010326/reu-nigeria_squad.html
