Folks, I am a child of the seventies. These were times we had to remember the lyrics to most songs, known and unknown, as well as all the letters in "How To Write To Gilrs and Win their Love." Oh, what a time that was! Sometimes, we had to "Hum" them along the way. But, those were some wonderful musical moments.
It is so easy to buy "Fela's" records, but what ever happened to singers such as "Spud Nathans and the Wings," "One World," "Ringers' Experience," "Actions," "Bongos Ikwue," "Ofege", "Ozziddi and Sonny Okusuns," and Highlife Gurus like "Ikenga Superstars," "Stephen Osita Osedebe," "Celestine Ukwu," "Prince Nico Mbarga" (with his famous "Item Eka Mmi" - My mother's advice.), and Others. Does anyone know where I can get those old songs from? They had a lot to say, at least, for those times. Are they still singing now? Thanks.

Brother Biafra, You are a life-saver! I remember those years (in the mid 70s) like yesterday. My older brother, in his early teens, used to murder these songs for his girlfriend, and forced us (then in Elementary School) to watch. The joy on his face was almost palpable when she sneaked and visited him. All we (kids)cared about however, were the remaining peanuts (groundnuts) and 'coke'. What a fun life that was! I am going to send you an email now. Thanks again, brother, for the collections.

It seems that you have a large resource in music. Expect me to hit you up on the email. I just came back from Nigeria recently. I bought some much-needed music while I was there.
