I hope the health dept. of the OBJ government instructs the NFA about the dangers of these virus to black Africa (just like AIDS virus)
and the need to protect and educate the populace. Nigeria should have rejected going to Japan for this useless tournament after being snobbed at first.

Nigeria is a late invitee to the annual Kirin Cup football tournament in Japan.

The Super Eagles will replace Portugal, which declined to participate due to concerns over Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS).

Japan's FA had kept up talks with the Portuguese since they announced the cancellation last month, but failed to persuade them to make a trip to Asia, where the SARS virus outbreak has caused panic.

The match between Nigeria and Japan will be played on 11 June at the Saitama Stadium, one of the sites of the 2002 World Cup finals.

Japan will also play Argentina on 8 June, at the Nagai Stadium in Osaka
