BIAFRA LIBERATION MOVEMENT & BIAFRA COMMITTEE FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION (BLM/BCIA)

PRESS RELEASE!
January 14, 2003

Warning to Ohanaeze Nd'Igbo, the 6 Igbo Governors, Igbo elected Officials, and other Politicians!!!

In the course of the ongoing political activities, the Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani tribes have turned inward. They have concluded that their political interests are best served by first securing their political bases for themselves. Yet, they have concluded that Nd'Igbo are too weak to do the same. They have concluded that a generation of cowards is now in charge in AlaIgbo, cowards that would not dare bring their people under one political umbrella, APGA, in the same way that the Hausa-Fulani and the Yoruba are poised to hold their people together under ANPP and AD respectively. As their flag-bearer, the Hausa-Fulani have selected Mohammadu Buhari, the caliphate's poster boy for Sharia hatred. The Yoruba have given their backing to their evil son, a mean-spirited igbophobe who openly brags about the atrocities he committed during the Nigeria-Biafra war and who publicly incites our minority neighbors to anti-Igbo hatred.

Now that Obasanjo and his tribesmen in AD have ignored party loyalty and played the Yoruba card, there is no longer any excuse for Igbo governors or any elected official in Igboland to insist on party loyalty, or to deploy party loyalty as an excuse for working for the Yoruba Obasanjo against Igbo interests in the presidency of that country. Obasanjo and Yoruba people do not practice party loyalty; they practice loyalty to their Yoruba tribe. The Hausa-Fulani do not practice party loyalty; they would rather abandon their own party, PDP where they have a sitting Vice President, than give up the opportunity to produce the president under ANPP.

Therefore, we make the following Four demands:

1) Ohanaeze Nd'Igbo must, without delay, endorse and support General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu for president.

2) All five Igbo governors and elected officials, including the renegade (Igbo in denial) Peter Odili of Ani Ocha should immediately decamp to APGA and endorse and support General Ojukwu for president.

3) All other Igbo candidates for president under the various parties, including Ike Nwachukwu, Jim Nwobodo, Arthur Nwankwo, etc., should immediately fold their campaigns and endorse General Ojukwu for president.

4) Chief Iwuanyanwu must put an end to his support/campaign for Obasanjo.

Any Igbo person or group in Igboland found to be supporting, campaigning for, or otherwise providing aid and comfort to the PDP, AD, ANPP, or any other party other than APGA shall be deemed a traitor. In particular, if Ohanaeze Nd'Igbo fails to endorse General Ojukwu within the next 30 days, we shall conclude that Ohanaeze has decided to withhold its support or it has decided to support the enemies of Nd'Igbo. In that case, we shall take appropriate steps to disband Ohanaeze Nd'Igbo and relieve it of the limited responsibility we have given to the group to speak for us on certain matters of politics in the country. Afenifere has done its job for egbe omo oduduwa. Now, it is time for Ohanaeze to redeem itself and do for Nd'Igbo what Afenifere has done for egbe omo Yoruba. Ohanaeze must endorse and support General Ojukwu without delay.

While BLM is devoted to Biafra actualization, we are interested in seeing that Igbo politicians do not bring disgrace to our land. No Igbo politician should let himself be used in any manner that would reduce Igboland to a battleground nation for Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba politicians. Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba parties should not win votes in Igboland. Chuba Okadigbo is warned not to mount an aggressive campaign in Igboland for installing the Prince of Sharia, Buhari. We are watching Okadigbo's activities very closely and we shall not hesitate to assert our political will against him and any others found engaging in acts inimical to Igbo collective interests.
