ASIAN WOMEN
Asian Women is biannually published by the Research Institute of Asian Women at Sookmyung Women's University, with its first edition issued in May, 1995. Asian Women is an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural journal, published in English. It publishes articles, viewpoints, book reviews, source materials, and reports on diverse issues such as family, work, class, power, sexuality, and patriarchy, from a feminist perspective. This journal presents various perspectives and raises important issues in Women's Studies. It also serves as a communication channel between researchers in Asia and in Western countries.
Guidelines for Contributors: All submissions deemed appropriate for Asian Women are sent out anonymously to readers, upon whose judgements the editors reply. Contributions are considered for publication only on the understanding that they have not been published previously, that they are not currently under consideration elsewhere in English, and that any previous form of publication and any current consideration in other languages are disclosed. The review process of Asian Women requires two legible copies (including copies of all illustrations and tables) and a 3.5" diskette copy of each manuscript. Each copy is to have a title page giving the title of the articles, author's name, institutional affiliation, complete mailing address, and author's telephone number. All manuscripts (no more than 20 pages) should be typed, double-spaced on one side of 8 1/2 × 9 inch white paper using generous margins on all sides. A brief biographical note describing the author's research interests and recent publications is to be typed on a separate sheet. All manuscripts should include an abstract of no longer than 300 words, and a list of 4-5 keywords provided directly below the abstract, typed on a separate sheet of paper. Keywords are to express the precise content of the manuscript, as they are used for indexing purposes. Every manuscript should have footnotes and references, and should conform to the Chicago Manual of Style.
