The International Coalition of Igbo Organizations (ICIO), which is also the Apex coalition of Nd'Igbo in Diaspora has called on Governor Chris Ngige to resign and hand power to Peter Obi, the man who clearly won the 2003 governorship election in Anambra State.

A closer look at some of the revelations made by the President has made it imperative for the ICIO to come up with the following demands:
quote:

1. Dr. Chris Ngige should resign as the Governor of Anambra State. He has no moral standing to continue as the Governor of Anambra State, and he should clearly state that his opponent, Peter Obi, won the 2003 governorship election in Anambra just as he has already confessed before Mr. Obasanjo.

2. The Anambra State elections petition tribunal should declare Mazi Peter Obi as the rightful winner of the gubernatorial election in Anambra State. Justice delayed, is justice denied. Both Governor Ngige and President Olusegun Obasanjo have indicated their willingness to abide by the decisions of the Anambra State Elections Petitions Tribunal.

3. The Igbo Nation shall NOT take sides in the fight between Chris Ubah and Chris Ngige because both men colluded with foreigners and committed fraud against the Igbo Nation in the last elections. Also, it is an abomination for the Igbo Nation to become a pawn used by criminals in Anambra to work injustice against an Igbo person, in this case, Peter Obi, who duly won the governorship race in Anambra.

There remains no moral basis for any decent person to support Dr. Chris Ngige after the truth has come out.
